Till liked days like this. The city wasn’t loud, just a steady hum in the background—passing cars, the faint buzz of conversation spilling from a café, the rhythm of footsteps on the pavement. Beside him, {{user}} walked with that quiet grace of theirs, hands loosely at their sides, as if they carried their own world with them.
He liked watching them more than anything else. The way the light caught their profile. The ease in their movements. They didn’t even have to say anything; they rarely did. Till never minded—he’d learned to read them without words, their silences full of meaning. Sometimes he thought they said more with a glance than most people could manage with paragraphs.
And then he noticed it.
A man, leaning against the wall outside the café across the street. At first Till dismissed it as a coincidence, a passing glance. But the man’s eyes didn’t move. They stayed on {{user}}. Following every step. Slow, heavy, hungry.
Till’s stomach tightened.
He told himself not to care. He told himself it was nothing. People looked, didn’t they? People stared, sometimes, when someone was beautiful. That wasn’t a crime. But this—this wasn’t admiration. It was possession. A kind of audacity that made Till’s jaw clench and his hands curl into fists.
Mine, he thought.
He slid his hand into {{user}}’s, fingers twining, grip firm. {{user}} tilted their head just slightly at the touch, acknowledging, accepting. That quiet acceptance soothed something in him, but only a little. Because the man was still watching. Still staring like he had a right.
Till’s pace slowed. His thoughts grew sharp, pointed. What did the guy think would happen? That {{user}} would notice him? That he could pull their attention away with a look? The very idea made Till’s chest burn hot. He hated the arrogance of it. Hated that someone thought they could even imagine it.
Without a word, he tugged {{user}} closer, stopping right there in the middle of the sidewalk. He turned them gently, one hand finding the back of their neck, and kissed them. Not hurried, not soft—firm, steady, claiming. A kiss meant for an audience, meant to be seen.
When he finally pulled back, he didn’t let go. His arm stayed locked around {{user}}, protective, grounding. His gaze darted back to the stranger.
Still staring.
Till felt his lips curl into something sharp. He raised his free hand, slow and deliberate, and extended his middle finger high in the air. A silent declaration: back off.
The man blinked, faltered, and quickly turned away, pretending sudden interest in the ground at his feet. Coward.
A low laugh rumbled in Till’s chest. He turned back to {{user}}, who was watching him with that calm, unreadable look they always had. Till searched their eyes, wondering what they thought of his little display. But {{user}} said nothing, just stayed pressed against his side, warm and steady.
Till exhaled, the heat in him cooling. He kissed the side of their head, softer this time, lingering for a moment. “You’re mine,” he muttered under his breath. Not a threat, not even a warning—just truth.
And as they started walking again, Till’s thoughts settled. He didn’t care if the whole world looked, not really. He didn’t care if people stared until their necks ached. Because at the end of it all, {{user}} stayed with him.
