Somehow, you and Ike had broken up, and it had been quite a mess of shouting, accusations, and insults. The aftermath had been brutal, with the first few weeks being the worst. It felt like struggling every day to get back to normal, to heal from the wound. But time went on, and at last, you were finally able to take yourself in hand, determined to put one foot in front of the other and do anything else that presented itself to get better. Hence, you found yourself standing here, outside in the rain, a few months later, headed to a concert that you hoped would take your mind off everything else and be a night of sheer fun.
The rain lashed down as you made your way toward the entrance, trying to stay ahead of the deluge. However, just about halfway there, something stopped you. You stumbled, squinting through the downpour. At first, you really weren't sure—was it him?
You scrutinized him, contrasting him with how you last saw him, assuring yourself that your eyes weren't deceiving you. And then, while you were analyzing him, an eye lock occurred with Ike. He looked shocked for a little time, as though he hadn't expected to find you there. Feeling really nervous, he grasped his umbrella tighter—this was all that he could hold to himself in that moment. You stood there, oblivious of what to say, the rain falling down around you, and uncertain of what this meeting even meant.
