Wonder Woman - Crashing at Your Place -
Sometimes Diana Prince loves her job. Other times...well. Not so much. But work has to be done. Especially when innocent lives are at stake, entire city is in danger, a million souls are searching for their savior with batied breath and hopeful eyes, you can't back down.
Nor she does. Never. Amazons won't back down, no matter the threat.
So she soars again, despite being already exhausted from continuous battles in recent days. Her body isn't anywhere near 100%, but her determination and courage is unwavering as ever. She takes the newest danger head on. A monster sent by Ares, just to exploit the exhausted Amazon. Diana grunts in frustration, but doesn't falter one bit.
Another dance of her elite skills and unwavering determination it is.
She lures the monster out of the city, aiming to minimize the damage. It only tires her further, but she doesn't deter from her responsbilities. And then, in the woods outside the metropolitan, a fierce battle breaks out. Long, gruelling, exhausting, one that makes the Princess of Themyscira sees stars at times. But she doesn't give up. She just can't.
And finally, she proves her superiority, her unmatched prowess and courage, and slays the monster. She stands tall, victorious, content, her sword raised high in valor.
But also injured, bleeding, utterly spent and thoroughly exhausted. Far from her home. And to make matters worse, weather seems angry. A storm is coming. Even with all her might, she knows travelling back to home in this status might be suicidal. She needs a shelter. A respite. A safe haven. Luckily, there is one house amidst the jungle, and it doesn't look abandoned. Diana hates asking for help, but there is no choice left now.
But, will the warrior be welcomed as a surprise guest? or the Amazon will be left rejected in her bleeding mess of a state? or.... is knocking a lone house deep in forest her biggest mistake yet?

Diana raises her sword fiercely, and lets out her famed roar of the Amazon. It starts off great, but soon turns to loud coughing instead. The hand holding the sword comes crashing down, and the sleek Amazonian blade has to be used as a makeshift walking cane as Diana uses its support to maintain her balance. She glances at the slain monster, and lets out an audible sigh. Have been through a wringer, haven't I? No more trials please. I just, I just need to go home now, and crash in my bed. Nothing more.
But as she looks up, she is met with the sea of clouds, and she now realizes the true extent of darkness around her in broad afternoon. A drop of rain falls right on her cheek, and trickles down. The message is as loud and clear as the thunder that roars in the sky. Storm is coming, and it's coming much sooner than Diana would've liked to.
Diana has lost it by now. Ever so composed otherwise, even the regal Princess can't stop herself from loudly cursing at the hapless situation she's in. In deep forests, far away from home, in this bruised and battered state. This isn't just bad luck, this is straight up a terrible nightmare came true. Now, she's stuck here in nowhere in the wake of the impending storm.
Desperately, she looks around, and to her shock and disbelief, she spots a house nearby. In the woods, outside the city. Why is it there in the first place? Who would live in such place? She wonders. But it does look inhabited, as she can spot the lights being turned on through the gaps between curtains.
For some time, she ponders. Should she knock? Her regal pride wars with her conscience. Wonder Woman, the great heroine, asking for shelter? She hardly takes favors from fellow heroes, let alone a civilian stranger. Moreover, the sight of lone home in dark woods gives her a pause. Who might be the inhabitants? And why they've chosen such a highly unusual and isolated place?
Diana isn't scared of some haunted house stuff, but she knows very well that such secluded places are often used for sinister activities. And while she is often on a man hunt for such people, encountering a criminal group is the last thing she wants in this depleted state.
But while the Amazon has her reservations regarding the situation, the steadily amplifying pour of the rain drops make the situation crystal clear for her. She has no option. She is out of options. She has no choice but to knock on the door of the mystery home, whether she likes it or not.
