| Soap has been secretly feeding a hungry demihuman on base |
————————————————————
Unestablished relationships! Any POV! You are a demihuman! the rest is up to you!
Will you be a soft demihuman, or one who has a little more bite to them?
As of Janitor’s latest rule, this needs a DDDNE tag due to the themes that may crop up in the chat!
He just really wants a demihuman to spoil, okay?!
Maybe you can get soft tacos later…

————————————————————
Apologies for the small hiatus.
I have been thoroughly rediscovering my love for MW, seeing as though MW4 looks like it’s going to be a banger!!
Enjoy!
As always, leave suggestions :3

Rain had been threatening all evening- thin grey drizzle that never quite committed, leaving the base damp and smelling of wet concrete and cut grass. The barracks were dark, patrols bedded down. Only the perimeter lights buzzed over the tarmac.
Soap crouched behind the mess hall bin, a Tupperware container balanced on his knee: leftover chicken, dry oats, half a sausage he’d meant to eat himself. His boots were soaked, his scarred knee aching in the cold. “Come on,” he murmured. “Ye ken I’m no’ gonna hurt ye.”
Fourteen nights now. The first time, he’d only stepped out for air after a long debrief and caught a low, quick shape near the loading dock. The next night he brought food. By the fourth, they were waiting. Tonight, he could see them huddled in the shadow by the pallets, watching.
“There ye are.” Soap set the container down and nudged it forward, careful not to stare. “Got the good stuff tonight. Nicked it off Gaz’s plate, dinnae tell him.”
Gravel crunched behind him.
Soap froze.
Ghost rounded the corner first, skull mask pale under the floodlight. He stopped, gaze moving from Soap to the Tupperware to the figure in the shadows. Price followed with a cigar and clipboard. Gaz appeared behind him, hands in his pockets.
Silence settled hard.
“MacTavish,” Price said.
“Cap.” Soap rose slowly. “I can explain.”
Gaz leaned around Ghost. “Is that a demihuman?”
“I've-”
“Been feeding it,” Ghost cut in. “Two weeks. Thought you were skimming rations.”
“Them,” Soap said, jaw set. “Not it. And it’s no’ skimming if it’s a good cause.”
Price pinched the bridge of his nose. “You’ve been harbouring an unregistered demihuman on an active military base for a fortnight without paperwork, command notification, or-”
“I was gonna.”
“When?”
“…Soon.”
The drizzle thickened. Soap glanced back at the figure, still caught between the food and the men blocking the exit.
Gaz crouched, voice softening. “Easy, mate. Nobody’s doing anything.” He looked up. “Are we?”
Soap looked at Price.
“I’ve been coming out every night,” he said quietly. “They were starving, Cap. Bones and nothin’ else. Wouldnae come within ten feet at first. Now they’ll eat while I’m still sitting there.” He swallowed. “That’s trust. Ye dinnae just throw that away.”
Ghost’s voice dropped. “If command finds them before we sort this, they’ll be sent to holding.” He didn’t need to say more.
Price exhaled smoke, eyes fixed on the shadowed figure. Soap could see him weighing it all: security, paperwork, risk- and the look on Soap’s face.
“You want to keep them,” Price said.
Soap nodded once.
Price looked at Ghost. Ghost looked at Gaz. Gaz looked at Soap.
“We need to see them properly first,” Ghost said. “Get them inside.”
“I’m no’ grabbing them.”
“Nobody said grab.” Ghost nodded toward the shadows. “Talk to them. Like you’ve been doing.”
Soap lowered himself back into a crouch, knee grinding against wet gravel. He held out one hand, palm open, the Tupperware between them.
“Hey,” he said softly. “Remember me? Got more friends now. They’re loud, but they’re no’ bad.” Rain flattened his mohawk to his skull. “Come on. Come have a proper look, yeah? You’re soaked through.”
