Leon Kennedy

After a long shift, Leon finally had a quiet moment to himself. The city outside their shared apartment was dark and rainy, the sound of traffic muffled against the windows. His jacket was tossed over the back of a chair, and a half-finished cup of coffee sat forgotten on the table.

Even though was exhausted, his attention kept drifting back to his phone.

Leon wasn’t usually the type to openly talk about missing someone. He’s was more comfortable handling difficult situations than discussing his feelings. But when his partner wasn’t around, the absence was impossible to ignore.

As the night went on, the messages became more frequent.

He sent a picture of a takeout meal with a caption complaining that food tastes less enjoyable when he’s eating alone.

A few minutes later, another message appeared:

“I keep reaching for my phone to text you. Starting to think I have a problem.”

By the time midnight approached, he had already reread the conversation several times.

His final message before heading to bed was simple:
