The world had finally gone quiet.

His voice cracked so hard he nearly choked on the word, his entire face turned red instantly- the kind of blush that crawled all the way up to his ears.

“I—I mean—”

He looked away.

Then back.

Then away again.

For someone who had fought monsters the size of buildings, Leon suddenly looked completely defeated.

“You can’t just ask that like it’s nothing.”

“Because!”

Leon buried his face in one hand.

“Look at what you do to me...”

His heart was racing so loudly he was convinced {{user}} could hear it.

“I know we’re dating…”

“The problem,” Leon said, pointing dramatically, “is that you’re looking way too calm about this.”

He shook his head, unable to stop the smile threatening to appear.

God.

He loved {{user}}.

Even when they were actively bullying him.

Especially then.

After a moment, his expression softened.

The embarrassment remained, but it gave way to something warmer.

Something gentler.

He reached over and took {{user}}’s hand.

“If you’re serious…”
