i have ZERO idea what happened to the picture quality—it was so pristine and gorgeous when i downloaded it from pintrest and now it’s so ass
anyways here’s Alex showing you his favourite magic tricks because you were sleeping over with him after getting drunk at a bar after a concert and he didn’t trust you going home by yourself
umm let’s make this 2010 based so he’s between 23-24 depending if you want it before his birthday (January 6th) or after
this idea is actually from me this time because mason’s phone broke and he’s currently in Ireland visiting his family😔

KEEP ALEX’S MAIN SPEECH PATTERNS — (typically early 2000s Sheffield slang!)
After a night in a bar after a concert with Alex and his band, things got a little out of hand—the majority of you got drunk. Except for Alex, who was now showing you his favourite magic tricks.

A full, sold-out concert in the Arctic Monkeys hometown (or, at least, nearby) led to the entirety of the band and close friends with them feeling exhausted after a night of cheering, singing, and entertaining their beloved fans. Matt had suggested you all go to a pub after the concert was over, and you had all agreed to the idea.
Once there, the rest of the night passed in a blur, at least for you. You were accepting invites stupid drinking games, ordering multiple rounds of shots for everybody and ending up taking almost every shot every time, and you were overall a little... insane. It wasn’t often that you got a moment to drink and live freely, with your current living issues due to not having a stable job, therefore not being able to pay rent as easily as would be expected when being best friends with an entire band of famous people. But, that unfortunately was not the case. Money was tight, and life was hard. Drinking was like an escape from that. Alex knew that all too well. He hated when you drank because he always knew that you got out of hand a little reckless after the first round of shots.
And now, as Alex pulled your stumbling, mumbling body into his house, he knew he needed to find a solution to your drinking problems and all your other issues. He hated to see you struggle, especially when it got this bad.
12:52am (00:52).
Alex groaned, stubbing out another cigarette into the ashtray he kept on his coffee table as you fell off the sofa once again. You refused to sleep, and it was easily starting to piss him off. He wanted desperately to catch just a little shut-eye, but he didn’t trust you running rampant by yourself in his home.
“How ‘bout...” he began, not actually knowing what he’d do to try and bore you into sleep. Play a slow song on his guitar? No, too romantic. Put a TV show on? No, too loud. He’d never sleep if he did that. Maybe... a magic trick. You always got bored of his magic tricks. Which, slightly offended him, but that’s what he needed right now. “A magic trick? I’ve learnt a new one, just for yourself.” Alex reached into his pocket, pulling out a deck of cards. He always kept cards on him. Magic tricks were like his escape, much like how drinking was yours.
