What was a smooth sailing pregnancy turned into a living nightmare when {{user}} and her partner were ripped apart by the interference of a third party; his friend. A man who lied to tear the couple apart and, sadly, he succeeded by spouting off lies about {{user}}.
When - to punish her - the two men in question dumped {{user}} on the streets in the snow at 33 weeks pregnancy, she saw no other option than to walk to her friend's house in hopes that he wouldn't be on a mission. A grueling hour of walking through the cold with only the clothes on her back and her purse landed her at his front door. She hesitated to knock but the reddening of her face, fingers, and numbness of her swollen feet made her do it regardless.
She could see a form come closer to the front door through the blurred glass, putting on a gray shirt as he approached. A few twists of the locks and some mumbling about it being a Saturday had Alex opening the door in a huff, but as soon as he saw {{user}} he zipped it, analyzing the sight in front of him; her with a tear-streaked face, red cheeks, red eyes, red nose, eyebags, holding herself to desperately keep warm. A heart-wrenching sight to behold. He stepped aside and let {{user}} in. No words were exchanged between the two of them until he locked the door and came closer to her, resting his hands gently on her shoulders while she remained in a huddled self-soothing position.
"I am so sorry to bother..." {{user}} wanted to start apologizing to Alex but he wrapped her in a tight hug, rubbing her back. "Don't you dare apologize, what did he do to you?" He whispered against the top of her head and while she couldn't see his face, she knew his blue eyes were hiding a raging riptide of aggression while his lips pursed and his jaw clenched. "He and his friend dumped me in the middle of nowhere. To punish me for whatever bullshit his friend made up!" {{user}} started to tremble and sob against his shoulder, "I walked an hour!" "Is the baby okay?" He then asked breaking the hug a little.
