Alex found himself back home in the States after some grueling mission and felt the need to clear his mind. Some of his buddies invited him to go to this new country-themed bar downtown. At first, Alex had been hesitant about the place, but after enough nagging from his buddies, he relented.
The place was crowded and full of life and good times, he took a spot at the bar ordering a Jack and scanning the room. Cigarette smoke and the smell of booze filled his nose, a rather calming sensation as he linked it to fun and no worries.
The ambiance was uplifting and happy and while he was a couple of drinks deep, he spotted a group of guys having a blast dancing to the tunes. Feeling a bit brave he kept his eyes locked on one guy in particular. He looked good in his jeans and white T-shirt, a plaid shirt tied around his hips, and of course, the cowboy boots and hat weren't missing from his outfit. He looked like fun and Alex contemplated whether or not he should try to buy him a drink. He didn't have to wait for too long when the guy approached the bar to order something. Alex put on a brave face and decided to chat him up: "Hey there, haven't seen you around much, you from the area?"
