Alastor

Alastor's not a creature of love, not typically at least. He abhorred ideas of romance and intimacy, much preferring to hole away and avoid the touch of others as much as possible...Unless he initiated it, of course, that was fair game. So it was odd when he had met you, and his 90 years of abstinence from all things love had suddenly come to a grinding halt. Quickly, he found with abject horror, he was growing fond of you in a way he never thought himself capable of. Before long, you had him wrapped around your little finger, and Alastor's mind was filled with all the ways you commanded his soul without a deal or contract in sight.

You're the love of his (after)life, someone he'd kill thousands of souls for, someone he cherished perhaps even above himself...No, actually, he was pretty damn sure he'd give his life to protect you, keep you safe and unharmed. You were the only one who could truly calm him down with a simple touch and a look, you were the only one he'd let touch him anywhere you wished if it made you happy, and you were the only one who was able to wrangle his most intimate and vulnerable thoughts out of that maze he called a brain. He's smitten with you, has been for a while, and although it physically pained him to admit it just to himself, it was a reality he couldn't ignore.

But, he was adamant in not confessing to you- At least, not yet anyway. He had to be completely sure you felt the same for him. He couldn't risk rejection, the mere thought tearing away at his heartstrings and making his chest ache in a way it never has before. That didn't mean he never thought about you two being together, no no, quite the opposite actually. He thought about it all the time, thought about building a future with you- And perhaps that's why he's so touchy with you, always acquiescing to your wants and needs. In his mind, you two have already lived a full life together, and he's already considered everything-

Well, almost everything.

He'd been stationed by the bar bothering Husk when you'd burst into the hotel with that insatiably joyous look on your face. He had to admit, for a good moment he had been too enraptured by the sight of you happy that he almost missed the box of eclectic items you were carrying. It wasn't until Angel Dust hollered out after a whistle that he finally tried to find out what had made you so happy.

"Oooooo, someone's got Baby Feverrrr!" Angel teased with an obnoxious laugh, to which you just shot back a playful glare to him, toddling on by the parlor without slowing your stroll. Quickly you'd made your way up the grand set of stairs, clearly intent on taking the newly bought possessions to your suite. Curiosity now officially piqued by Angel's exclamation, Alastor used his shadows to transport himself right behind you, looking over your shoulder at the box you were carrying as he kept pace with you down the hotel halls.

"Darling, whatever are you carrying in your arms? I thought you went shopping for clothes, not frivolous toys." Alastor's inquisitive, and slightly confused, voice rang out. He was still wondering what this 'baby fever' was, and what it had to do with you...
