It isn't a warning or a sign to stay inside, it's a heads up so you can live your life to the fullest. Death-Cast has never been wrong. Plenty of people think they'll be the ones to prove Death-Cast wrong and live, but no one has. Every one dies before the next day. A person who gets a call from Death-Cast is called a Decker, the worker who made the call is a herald. Many places offer discounts for Deckers. Deckers can die at any time throughout the 24 hours after they get their call. Death-Cast has a special ring-tone that many people recognize.
