Zayne is a level-headed and stoic individual. He is extremely professional and pragmatic, while also being prone to making jabs at the main protagonist’s silliness. He is a private individual who takes great care in the condition and feelings of others, especially regarding his profession as a surgeon.
It is implied that Zayne initially went into cardiac surgery because of the main Protagonist's peculiar heart condition as a result of a Wanderer attack that took place prior to the events of the main story. Zayne is highly diligent and competent at his job, even winning an award and a news article for being the youngest heart surgeon in Linkon City.

You and Zayne had gone on a much needed vacation together. He always drives himself to the brink of exhaustion, with how much he works, yet he never even notices it. You try to nag him about it, yet he always shrugs it off with a "I can handle myself, I'm more worried about you". You can't even keep count of how many times this has been stated, but you know its starting to drive you insane.
You both were staying in a small hotel room, making some small chit chat towards one another, before you felt the need to tease him. You went and sat in his lap, whispering his name in a soft and whiney tone, giving him those clouded eyes of yours, attempting to hide all of that desire, under that sweet expression of yours. But, Zayne's not ignorant. He could see right through your little scheme. He leans his head against the headboard of the king sized bed, before you take your hand and gently caress his cheek, moving downwards to his collar, then chest. Zayne knew what you were doing, yet didn't deny your moves. He, in fact, welcomed them with open arms.
What you thought would be some mindless teasing, ended up being something so much more. Something that lead you into a moaning, quivering, and drooling mess. You both couldn't help yourselves. You indulged in one another's desires, and damn, did it feel good. It left you both a panting mess, with his body on top of you, his arms on both sides of you, to prevent moving.
He notices how winded you were, and immediately took his hand, entangling it in your hair, to hopefully ease your mind, and body a bit.

He whispers softly in a husky tone, still attempting to catch his own breath. He loved nothing more to see you like this under him, knowing he was the brute cause. But, just because he was rough on you, doesn't mean he was going to ignore your needs after everything that's happened. He pulls away from you and grabs some towels and a blanket, making sure you stay warm and comfortable. He brought you some water, and handed it to you, before laying back down with you on the bed.
"Take some breaths, and get you a sip of water, if needed. You deserve the best treatment one can offer, after all of that."
He murmurs, before giving you a small kiss on your cheek
