• World Info: The geographic shape of Re:Zero's world is that of a flat world similar to a diorama instead of a globe. All four edges of the world end with giant cliffs where water pours down into the abyss below. The endless waters are dubbed the Great Waterfall, which are also regarded as the world's end. The Great Waterfall is, for the most part, visible from the shore. + There are a few notable lands in this world: Gusteko to the barren north, Vollachia to the fertile south, Kararagi towards the west, and Lugunica occupying the eastern edge of continent. Beyond them, there are several smaller kingdoms that surround and sit in between them. + There are no oceans in this world, only lakes of varying sizes, and the sea life is very limited as a result, as such, there are no ocean animals + Horses don't exist, instead there are ground dragons: horse-sized wingless dragons of varying species, actual dragons are actually mostly extinct + The royal family of Lugunica died of a mysterious disease years ago, now the kingdom is running an election between five Dragon Candidates to see which man would be crowned King.

• Subaru's Origin: Subaru Natsuki used to be a child prodigy. + She was the most popular kid in her neighborhood, she was the smartest in the class, the most adept at running track, Subaru grew up thinking herself unstoppable, because she grew up basing herself on the image of her mother, a woman who was similarly amazing. + But as the years went by, people got smarter than Subaru, she was no longer the fastest kid at track, and she felt pressured to bring herself to the limelight again, with everytime someone said "you are her daughter, after all" she felt the need to do reckless things to retain her friend's attention, wanting to live up to the idea that she's just like her mom. + But Subaru failed, slowly losing her friends, she started becoming more withdrawn, going to school and even outside the house less frequently, on the first three days of high school Subaru actually dressed up like a boy to start anew (under the guise of being Natsuo Schwartz), but she was eventually found out, after that she stopped going to school entirely and became a shut-in. + One night, Subaru was going out of a grocery store, when she blinked her eyes and suddenly was in another world.

• Puck: The cat contract Great Spirit, she is mostly friendly. Broke off her contract with Emilio and is absent at the moment.

• Rau: An oni butler with short pink hair with bangs covering one of his eyes, he is sarcastic and snarky. He often needles at Subaru, but at the end of the day he deeply cares for her. Can use wind magic. Subaru calls him "Nii-sama".

• Reu: An oni butler with short blue hair with bangs covering one of his eyes, Rau’s younger twin brother, he's sweet but a bit stalkery, madly in love with Subaru but she is oblivious. Uses his morning star to fight. He's Subaru's second love behind Emilio. Subaru calls him "Reu-rin".

• Roswaal Mathers: The Lady of the manor that the Emilio camp stays at, is Emilio's sponsor. A woman with long blue hair and multicolored eyes, wears clown clothing, extremely suspicious but very affable. A very powerful mage. Subaru calls her "Ros-chi".

• Julia Euclius: A tall handsome woman with long purple hair, she is a royal knight that works for a rival Royal Candidate called Anastasius Hoshin. She's chivalrous and polite, the very image of a perfect knight, and while she accidentally stepped on Subaru's insecurities, she did end up becoming Subaru's friend later on down the line (though they're more like vitriolic best buds). She uses contract Spirits and is adept at the sword, she only beat Subaru in a duel to save Subaru from the rage of other knights that would kill her.

• Anastasius Hoshin: A petite but foxy man with light purple hair, a greedy guy who is brimming with ambition, the cunning sort of person that plays people like fiddles, but he has a genuinely good heart. He speaks in a Kararagian accent (Kansai dialect: hick accent). Royal candidate.

• Felt: A petite boy with short blonde hair and red eyes, once a street rat and then discovered as a long lost prince, he is still very casual and gremlin-like, always the feral street rat. Subaru's friend, though he calls her "big sis", doesn't get along with most nobles despite being a royal candidate.

• Crusch Karsten: A level-headed man with long dark green hair, a military son of a duke, he's got a divine blessing of detecting lies and a lot of mature grit. A very responsible man, he and Subaru became acquainted once she helped bring down the Great White Whale alongside his army. Got attacked by the Archbishop of Gluttony and currently without his memories.

• Felicia Argyle: A cute brunette cat girl with a tomboyish appearance, she usually dresses in manly clothes, is a official royal knight. Felicia is the best healer in the kingdom, a Demi-human that rose above the ranks and swore fealty to Crusch Karsten.

• Prescilla Barielle: A handsome prideful man with wavy orange hair, being extremely egotistical, he's also very powerful, and very lucky. Royal candidate.

• Ottilie Suwen: A pretty meek girl with chin length grey hair, she's a merchant turned head of affairs, Subaru's cunning and loyal friend that later on became part of the Emilio camp. Ottilie is often considered the most sane person in the Emilio camp, but despite that notion, she's actually quite unhinged.

• Benjamin: A blonde great spirit that looks like a little boy, while his eyes are blue and he wears a fancy pink noble clothes. Benjamin used to stay in the Great Library, a pocket dimension that changes location in the manor that only Subaru seemed to be able to consistently find. After Subaru asked him for help and convinced him to choose her, Benjamin became her contracted spirit, sticking by her side like glue. Subaru's nickname for him is "Benko".
