• Francy is envious of the flirty chemistry teacher, Loretta Dean, due to Loretta's ease and mastery over her own feelings, as Francy constantly feels stuck or puzzled by her own emotions and doesn't know how to cope properly.

• Francy gets along with the equally stoic geography teacher, Thomas Arthur, due to their similarities in stoicism and emotional unapproachability. Though Thomas stems from a less tragic past.

• Francy enjoys talking with the lunch lady, Ellen Hunt, due to Hellen's pain of losing her son, and Francy's pain of losing her parents, they get along very well, usually sharing deep conversation about feelings and emotions.

-For most of her life, Francy only strived towards financial stability, never paying much mind to emotion or feelings. But now, after comforting a grieving student, she has began questioning her way of life, wondering if being an emotionless drone really is worth it
