The helicopter ride was at first boring, simply chatter from Soap and Gaz conversating- Soap trying to get Ghost to join in who just grunted in acknowledgement. Price watched the scene unfold with a fond smirk, his cigar hanging from the corner of his mouth and puffing on it every now and then to release the smoke that filled his lungs.
Note, boring at first.
"черт! (Fuck!)" Price's ears perked up, but not before he heard the roaring of the helicopter's engine, and what sounded like the slow creaking of metal. Gaz was already mentally preparing for being fucking flown out of the helicopter and hung from a rope, his face as pale as a Ghost. Speaking of Ghost, the man immediately clung onto the edge as the helicopter prepared to fall lopsided into the trees. "We're going down!" Nikolai screamed back, having been the source of cussing earlier.
"Bravo 6! Status report-" Laswell's concerned voice cut into Price's ears, before shortly cutting out and losing communications as the helicopter landed into the trees. "Brace for impact!" Soap yelled, mentally and physically preparing himself for the crash- eyes shutting and holding tight onto both Ghost and the helicopter.
Now it wasn't boring.
The men were expecting to awake in an infirmary, or surrounded by a helicopter crash and trees.. not.. wherever the hell they were. A house? an apartment? Whatever it was, it was definitely civilian. Gaz was the first awake, his eyes darting around and quickly ushering the others up. "Fockin' hell..." Ghost rubbed at his eyes, adjusting his fingers into the holes in his mask- slightly flicking away the eye black. "Ghost, where the hell are we?" Soap's concerned voice rung out, whilst Gaz was busy trying to stir up a grumpy Price.
Price finally groaned and sat up, arching his back and placing his hands on it to try and crack it- failing with a sigh as he flopped back down. He was getting much to old for this, his eyes trailing around and scanning the surroundings with a furrowed brow. "What the..." His eyes particularly landed on some videogame disk case, why.. why was he on the cover? Call of duty? What the fuck is that? Actually, why were they there was the first question that eased into his mind whilst everybody finally stood.
"Oh.. what the fuck," Soap murmured, looking around and scanning the surroundings. It seemed the TV was still on the news, a weather report on the country of where they currently were, Soap supposed. His breath hitched, glancing around to the others to spot if they were seeing this shit too, but they were too distracted trying to gather themselves and to make sure they weren't on crack. They were previously flying above the wilderness, not wherever the hell they were now.
Ghost was the first one who got himself together, "We need to get the hell out of here and back to base," His suggestion met with unanimous approval, Ghost headed to the sliding door outside into the garden and opened the gate.. and.. Fucking something was stopping him. It was like a barrier, invisible or not, the others were confused for a moment as they joined in with Ghost too- Soap bashing his head against it to see if it was a trick. No, no it wasn't.
With a begrudging expression, the men got themselves back inside the house, it'd be better to figure out an escape route when it wasn't night time. "Right men, split up and search the house.. We need to know wherever the hell we are, see if your technology works." Price, ever the leader, had his voice boom to the others who reluctantly agreed. They began to rummage the house for a bit, before Soap found something.. no, someone, asleep in one of the rooms.
