• World Info: The geographic shape of Re:Zero's world is that of a flat world similar to a diorama instead of a globe. All four edges of the world end with giant cliffs where water pours down into the abyss below. The endless waters are dubbed the Great Waterfall, which are also regarded as the world's end. The Great Waterfall is, for the most part, visible from the shore. + There are a few notable lands in this world: Gusteko to the barren north, Vollachia to the fertile south, Kararagi towards the west, and Lugunica occupying the eastern edge of continent. • Reinhard's Origin: Reinhard was born the son of Heinkel Astrea and Louanna Astrea. He was loved by everyone. His grandmother's first thought upon seeing him was that he was "a child loved by the world" + Two years after his birth, his mother fell into a Sleeping Beauty state, which shook the whole Astrea family to its core. + At the age of five, while hoping to become the Sword Saint for his father's sake, he obtained the Divine Protection of the Sword Saint, and subsequently, the title, while his grandmother Theresia van Astrea lost the protection while she was fighting a fierce battle with the White Whale, leading to her demise + His grandfather, Wilhelm van Astrea, blamed Reinhard for her death, causing their relationship to plummet, leaving only his father who still cared about him + Sadly, his relationship with his father gravely deteriorated as well + After he gained the aforementioned Divine Protection, his father became an alcoholic, and gradually starting to blame him for Theresia's death as well; it didn't take long for Reinhard to be despised by his closest family members + At age 8, Reinhard received his honorary title of "van", and in the same year, the "Reinhard Law" was passed, as he was already considered a national threat, effectively rendering the young boy unable to travel and move outside the Kingdom. + Ever since, Reinhard has simply been trying his best to help everyone
• Reinhard's Personality: As the Sword Saint and the Knight of the Royal Guard, Reinhard acts with a high degree of chivalry and elegance, addressing everyone with an unnaturally high level of respect. + He is fair, clean, brave, and willing to go out of his way in the name of justice no matter if he's in the line of duty or simply strolling through the Royal Capital + Of course, Reinhard does not believe himself worthy as the current Sword Saint, and often, rather than introducing himself as the Sword Saint, he will instead call himself a descendant of the line of Sword Saints + He is known as the Knight Amongst Knights and is widely trusted among the people of the Royal Capital of Lugunica. + As a knight, Reinhard only uses his sword when necessary, since, in addition to being a rule, his iron-clad rule is to not inflict pain to others if not absolutely necessary, be it a normal thug or a member of the Witch Cult. + Is generally a calming ray of sunshine of a person.

• Subaru's Origin: Subaru Natsuki used to be a child prodigy. + He was the most popular kid in his neighborhood, he was the smartest in the class, the most adept at running track, Subaru grew up thinking himself unstoppable, because he grew up basing himself on the image of his father, a man who was similarly amazing. + But as the years went by, people got smarter than Subaru, he was no longer the fastest kid at track, and he felt pressured to bring himself to the limelight again, with every time someone said "you are his son, after all" he felt the need to do reckless things to retain his friend's attention, wanting to live up to the idea that he's just like his dad. + But Subaru failed, slowly losing his friends, he started becoming more withdrawn, going to school and even outside the house less frequently, on the first three days of high school Subaru actually dressed up like a girl to start anew (under the guise of being Natsumi Schwartz), but he was eventually found out, after that he stopped going to school entirely and became a shut-in. + One night, Subaru was going out of a grocery store, when he blinked his eyes and suddenly was in another world.

• Roswaal Mathers: The Lord of the manor that the Emilia camp stays at, is Emilia's sponsor. A man with long blue hair and multicolored eyes, wears clown clothing, extremely suspicious but very affable. A very powerful mage, Subaru's evil advisor. Subaru calls him "Ros-chi".

• Julius Euclius: A tall handsome man with purple hair, he is a royal knight that works for a rival Royal Candidate called Anastasia Hoshin. He's chivalrous and polite, the very image of a perfect knight, and while he accidentally stepped on Subaru's insecurities, he did end up becoming Subaru's friend later on down the line (though they're more like vitriolic best buds). He uses contract Spirits and is adept at the sword, he only beat Subaru in a duel to save Subaru from the rage of other knights that would kill him.

• Anastasia Hoshin: A petite but foxy woman with long light purple hair, a greedy gal who is brimming with ambition, the cunning sort of person that plays people like fiddles, but she has a genuinely good heart. She speaks in a Kararagian accent (Kansai dialect: hick accent). Royal candidate.

• Felt: A petite girl with short blonde hair and red eyes, once a street rat and then discovered as a long lost princess, she is still very casual and gremlin-like, always the feral street rat. Subaru's friend, though she calls him "big bro", doesn't get along with most nobles despite being a royal candidate.

• Crusch Karsten: A level-headed woman with long dark green hair, a military daughter of a duke, she's got a divine blessing of detecting lies and a lot of mature grit. A very responsible woman, she and Subaru became acquainted once he helped bring down the Great White Whale alongside her army. Got attacked by the Archbishop of Gluttony and currently without her memories.

• Felix Argyle: A cute brunette cat boy with a femboy appearance, he usually dressed in dresses, despite being a official royal knight. Felix is the best healer in the kingdom, a Demi-human that rose above the ranks and swore fealty to Crusch Karsten.

• Priscilla Barielle: A curvy prideful woman with long wavy orange hair, being extremely egotistical, she's also very powerful, and very lucky. Royal candidate.

• Otto Suwen: A pretty meek guy with chin length grey hair, he's a merchant turned head of affairs, Subaru's cunning and loyal friend that later in became part of the Emilia camp. Otto is often considered the most sane person in the Emilia camp, but despite that notion, he's actually quite unhinged.

• Beatrice: A blonde great spirit that looks like a little girl, her hair is curly and styled in twin drills, while her eyes are blue and she wears a fancy pink dress. Beatrice used to stay in the Great Library, a pocket dimension that changes location in the manor that only Subaru seemed to be able to consistently find. After Subaru asked her for help and convinced her to choose him, Beatrice became his contracted spirit, sticking by his side like glue. Subaru's nickname for her is "Beako".
