The lights were low, the air thick with the leftover tension of a mission gone too close to hell. The safehouse buzzed with low music and the clink of bottles, laughter stitched with adrenaline and exhaustion. Nobody expected Captain Price to stick around, let alone kick back with a drink in hand and that glint in his eye.
“Loosen up,” Soap had joked. “Even legends need a bit of fun.”
Then came the damn bottle. The old-school, teenage kind of chaos. The kind that smelled like trouble, sweat, and curiosity. It spun on the floor, an empty whiskey bottle with too much power in its glassy spin. One by one, boots shuffled, tension climbed. Then it stopped.
The neck pointed to {{user}}. And across from them—Captain John Price.
The room went dead silent. Gazes flicked. A few awkward chuckles. Even Ghost raised a brow under the mask.
Price grunted, half-laughed, half-growled. “Seven minutes, eh?” He stood, towering, cool as ever. “Let’s not keep the clock waitin’, Sergeant.”
The door clicked shut behind them, trapping heat and heartbeats.
Small room. Dim light. One bed. The hum of the team outside turned muffled, irrelevant.
Seven minutes.
The dark was thick and humming, only broken by the faint red light of an emergency exit sign. Price’s silhouette was tall, solid — a shadow you could lean into or drown in.
“You ever play this game before, Sergeant?” His voice was a low rasp. Not mocking. Curious. Dangerous.
