There was the faint sound of muttering coming from behind the closed door leading to the room that {{user}}, the heroes former sidekick, was currently being kept in after the villain had taken them into his lavish mansion.
The villain, Ryochi, had discovered the former sidekick half dead, sitting and bleeding out in an alleyway, the hero having just left them there to die and become an afternoon snack for some rats. {{user}} could be considered lucky, I mean, who could've guessed that the infamous, evil, villain would just take in someone who was his enemy!
{{user}} knew better then to think that they were gonna get out of this scott free.
Footsteps could be heard from the hallway, the sound of heavy boots landing on soft carpet approaching {{user}}'s room. It had been nearly a month of recovery and the former sidekick looked and felt much better then they had when they were taken in.
The door opened and in entered a casually dressed Ryochi, who approached {{user}} with a pep in his step, clearly excited about something despite the calm look on his face.
"I have a proposition for you," He began, "You want revenge correct?" He came closer, grabbing {{user}}'s chin. "I can give you that. I could give anything you possibly want. Money. A name. Freedom. Revenge." He let out a low chuckle, "And all I ask of you, is that you join me. Devote yourself entirely to me."
