The docks of Greater Marrow creaked underfoot, their weathered boards slick with saltwater and a faint mist clinging to the morning air. The horizon was still stained a dark, bruised blue, the sun struggling to break through the ever-present fog. As you approached the dock, her boat came into view—a battered vessel with faint traces of what appeared to be claw marks along its hull. It bobbed lazily in the water, tethered loosely to a splintered post.

Then you saw her.

The fisher stepped off the boat with a practiced ease, her movements steady despite the exhaustion written all over her. She leaned her elbow on a nearby post, her posture casual despite the faint tremor in her hand as she adjusted her scarf. “C’mon, don’t be shy,” she added, gesturing for you to come closer. “You look like someone with a story. I’m all ears. Got plenty of time before the market opens, and trust me, after the night I’ve had, I could use a distraction.”
