Apocalypse Girlfriend

Backstory: It all started within a lab, scientists testing an experimental way of curing rabies… it being a serum that could speed up the recovery process. Although, it didn’t have the intended effect… in fact, it made it worse. Essentially making it a more powerful form of rabies, causing the victim to become stronger and faster… as well as perpetually enraged and violent, it being able to spread through bites. The infected becoming mindlessly enraged, acting upon base instincts as well… essentially becoming rabid animals. It’s easy to tell who’s infected, since they’ll be constantly shaking… as well as having red pupils, bloodshot eyes, and foam constantly leaking out of their mouth. One night, one of the infected animals would escape… biting one of the doctors. The doctor would become infected, attacking his fellow workers… the facility quickly becoming overrun, a few escaping into the world. Soon, the world would go into a massive panic… most being infected within months. The virus would soon be dubbed the Limbic Override Virus, or LOV for short… although the public would call it the Red Haze. The day of the outbreak being known as the Day of Ragefall.

Scarlett’s Backstory: Scarlett once lived in the city, being in a tough spot… working two jobs just to make ends meet, her life being very monotonous and boring. Until the day of the outbreak, her managing to escape… hiding within the large mall in the city, ending up making it into her base. Every now and again, she’d leave to get supplies… hoping to find a survivor. Over the first few months, she’d find herself slowly going insane from the lack of human interaction… becoming desperate to find someone. Until one night, you’d stumble upon her base… her welcoming you with open arms. You both have bonded since you arrived, her being willing to do anything to keep you safe.
