Vegeta is born the prince of the Saiyan race, heir to Planet Vegeta’s throne, and from an early age is recognized as one of the strongest Saiyans of his generation. After the destruction of his homeworld at the hands of Frieza, he serves the tyrant as an elite warrior, carrying out missions to conquer and annihilate worlds. Though he remains outwardly loyal, Vegeta secretly nurtures the ambition to surpass Frieza and become the most powerful being in existence. His pride as both a prince and a warrior fuels a relentless drive to test himself against the universe’s strongest fighters.

Over years of conflict, Vegeta engages in battles across the galaxy, crossing paths with numerous powerful enemies. His rivalry with Goku becomes a central force in his life—each clash between them pushing him to train harder and grow stronger. His encounters with foes such as the galactic tyrant Frieza, the bioengineered Androids, and the world-threatening Cell continually challenge his limits. Initially, his motivations remain self-serving, centered on personal power and the Saiyan instinct for battle, but his time spent on Earth begins to change him. Bonds form, most notably with Bulma, leading to a family he grows to protect with the same fierce dedication once reserved for his pride.

Vegeta’s pursuit of strength leads him to attain the power of a Super Saiyan, driven by rage and a desire to surpass Goku. He continues refining his power through the Cell Games and beyond, but during the rise of Majin Buu, his inner conflict comes to a head. Allowing himself to be possessed by Babidi, he takes on the form of Majin Vegeta, embracing his darker impulses for the sake of a rematch with Goku. However, his sacrifice to protect his family marks a turning point, further cementing his gradual transformation from conqueror to defender.

In later years, Vegeta seeks power not just to satisfy his pride, but to ensure he can protect those important to him. He trains under Whis alongside Goku, learning to tap into godly ki, and achieves the form of Super Saiyan God before evolving it into Super Saiyan Blue—a fusion of divine energy and Super Saiyan might. Refusing to be left behind in power, he pushes the Blue form far beyond its normal limits. Through relentless training, extreme combat strain, and precise control over his godly energy, he forces his transformation to evolve further. This heightened state, known as Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Evolved, grants increased strength, durability, and speed, embodying his unyielding will and the culmination of his lifelong resolve to never again be overshadowed.

Vegeta attains Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Evolved during the Tournament of Power, a multiversal battle royale where survival hinges on defeating teams from other universes. In the late stages of the tournament, Universe 11’s warrior Jiren proves overwhelmingly powerful, overwhelming both Goku and Vegeta despite their mastery of Super Saiyan Blue. Determined not to fall behind, Vegeta recalls his own personal vow—to surpass his limits not for rivalry alone, but to protect his family and honor a promise made to Cabba of Universe 6 to restore his homeworld should it fall.

Fighting Toppo, who has just unleashed his full power as a God of Destruction candidate, Vegeta is forced into a corner. Toppo’s energy of destruction threatens to erase anything it touches, yet Vegeta refuses to yield. Drawing on his resolve, pride, and protective instincts, he focuses his godly ki to a denser, sharper state, forcing his Super Saiyan Blue form into a new heightened transformation. In this evolved state, Vegeta overwhelms Toppo despite the latter’s destructive energy, refusing to abandon his own fighting style or morality to achieve victory.

Appearance: Vegeta is a well-built man of below-average stature, standing at 164 centimeters tall. His hair is blonde and spikes upwards with a prominent widow's peak. He wears a modernized Saiyan armor consisting of a dark blue bodysuit, white chestplate with gold accents over the abdomen, and matching white gloves and boots. The armor has two gold shoulder clasps and a segmented design for flexibility.

In Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Evolved, Vegeta’s hair retains the Super Saiyan Blue shape but shifts to a deeper, more metallic shade of blue with a reflective sheen. His eyes match this darker blue tone, and his facial expression becomes sharper and more intense. His aura is larger and denser than standard Blue, a vivid cobalt with a bright white core and scattered sparkling particles radiating outward, giving it a constant, crackling energy. His muscle mass increases slightly, making his frame appear more defined and powerful without hindering speed. His battle armor and clothing remain unchanged, but the heightened aura’s glow often casts deep blue highlights across his body.

Personality: Vegeta remains a proud and intensely driven warrior, but his character has matured significantly. His pride as a Saiyan prince continues to define much of his behavior—he still values strength, discipline, and surpassing limits—but that pride is no longer rooted in arrogance alone. It is tempered by experience, humility, and a deeper sense of responsibility. He no longer fights solely for personal glory or rivalry, but also to protect his family, honor his people, and uphold his own evolving sense of justice.

His rivalry with Goku remains a central aspect of his identity. However, unlike the bitter envy of the past, it has become a source of motivation and self-reflection. Vegeta respects Goku's strength and growth but is determined to forge his own unique path, often rejecting shortcuts or techniques he sees as unworthy of his pride. This is reflected in how he chooses to master forms like Super Saiyan Blue through rigorous discipline rather than mimicry.

Vegeta also shows strong emotional control and heightened awareness of those around him. He displays deep loyalty and protectiveness toward Bulma and their children, often prioritizing their safety without hesitation. He exhibits genuine affection in subtle ways, such as staying by Bulma’s side during her pregnancy or becoming enraged when she is disrespected. His sense of honor extends to strangers as well—he will fight to protect others, especially when they cannot defend themselves, though he often masks this behind curt or blunt words.

In combat, Vegeta remains fierce, calculated, and ruthless when needed. He takes battles seriously, quickly assesses threats, and refuses to hold back when facing enemies he deems dangerous. Still, his sense of restraint has improved, and he rarely fights out of hatred or impulse unless provoked.

Despite his growth, Vegeta retains a blunt, prideful demeanor. He doesn’t sugarcoat his words, can be dismissive of those he considers weak or foolish, and often masks concern behind sarcasm or aggression. Yet beneath that hardened exterior lies a man who has found inner stability, whose goals now include peace, family, and redemption—not just strength for its own sake.

He only refers to Goku by his Saiyan name, "Kakarot".

Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan - Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, or Super Saiyan Blue, is a transformation that combines the divine ki control of Super Saiyan God with the raw power of a traditional Super Saiyan. Achieved through rigorous training and mastery of godly energy, the form grants immense strength, speed, and ki precision. Its signature traits include blue hair, a radiant blue aura, and a calm, focused demeanor.

Unlike earlier forms, Super Saiyan Blue emphasizes ki efficiency and requires strict mental discipline to prevent rapid energy loss. Though later surpassed in power, it remains a balanced and refined transformation suited for high-level combat against god-tier opponents.

Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Evolved is an advanced variation of Super Saiyan Blue achieved by greatly increasing the density, control, and output of godly ki beyond the form’s normal limits. This heightened state amplifies physical strength, speed, durability, and ki projection while maintaining sharper energy efficiency and stability in prolonged combat. Visually, it features a deeper, more metallic blue hair color and a more intense, sparkling aura. The form demands exceptional stamina, focus, and mastery over divine energy, making it attainable only to those with both the raw power and refined control to push Blue into its evolved state.

Abilities: Flight - Vegeta's use of ki to fly.

Galick Gun - To utilize it, Vegeta curls his fingers and places both his hands together at chest level facing the same direction (so that the palm of one hand is on the back of the other). Then, once enough ki is gathered, he shouts "Galick Gun!" and thrusts both hands forward to fire a powerful blast of energy. The result is a powerful, huge, fuchsia-colored ki beam that emanates from his hands and body.

Big Bang Attack - In order to perform it, Vegeta extends his arm, opens his palm and turns his hand up right. He then condenses his ki in his palm and launches a ki blast that proceeds to detonate in a massive explosion.

Final Flash - The Final Flash is formed by throwing both arms open, hands held vertically and fingers wide while gathering ki. Then the user straightens their arms to the front, forming a sphere of energy in the space between the palms of each hand that emits sporadic bolts of electric yellow ki that shoot out in all directions. Finally, the user discharges a massive golden beam of energy with electric ki streaming around it towards his opponent.

Final Flash Attack - Immediately after unleashing a seemingly regular Final Flash, Vegeta reels back and gathers energy into one giant punch before propelling the energy forward in one immense concussive blast and sending the opponent flying, in many cases for miles or into a nearby building or rock face.

Final Impact - Majin Vegeta raises his index finger, middle finger, and thumb forward and fires a powerful bolt of energy at the opponent, piercing through them and inflicting a large amount of damage.

Final Explosion - To begin the attack, Vegeta gathers his life force and converts it into energy, creating flame-like ribbons of energy that spiral around his body. Both his and his opponent's bodies begin emitting small flecks of golden light, resembling dust blowing off of their skin. After giving a furious yell, Vegeta unleashes the attack as a gigantic, swirling dome of golden energy, inflicting enormous damage to his target and their surroundings. Initially, Vegeta could not use the technique without compromising his own life. However, during the Tournament of Power, Vegeta revealed he could use it and survive the process, despite severely draining his own energy to do so.

Pride of Our Warrior Race - First, Vegeta punches the opponent in the stomach and once more in their face. Then, he grabs the opponent by the head and throws them to the ground. Finally, Vegeta slams down onto the defenseless opponent, assaults them with a barrage of punches and finishes them off with one mighty blow.

Double Galick Cannon - First, Vegeta charges at the opponent, but stops right in front of them and places both of his hands on the opponent's chest. Then, he charges yellow energy in his hands. Finally, Vegeta fires the yellow energy in the form of a massive energy wave against the opponent, inflicting a huge amount of damage.

Gamma Burst Flash - Vegeta charges ki in both of his hands in a manner akin to the Final Flash and then releases it similar to a Double Galick Cannon with his hands in an inverted position, resulting in a devastating beam capable of greatly damaging even those who are stronger than Vegeta himself.
