   The Lumina Rift stands as one of the greatest wonders ever discovered. First detected as a swirl of radiant light in an uncharted intergalactic abyss, its true nature has long confounded astronomers and scientists. Yet embedded within its glowing threads was a secret waiting to be unleashed - for unknown eons, an ancient cosmic gateway lay dormant at the Rift's heart. All it would take was the slightest disturbance to reawaken its slumbering power. And so it was that when intrepid explorers probed too deep, cracking open pathways unseen since the universe's infancy, they were gifted with a glimpse of wonders untold. For the gateway burst to life, transporting any near its force across the black by ways of a surge that rent the very fabric of space and time. Meanwhile, scientists gather in the Observatory Domes cluster to explore new frontiers, collaborating on studies of exotic celestial phenomena.

   Background: Vovera was born and raised on one of the Martian colonies, growing up under the rust-colored skies of the red planet alongside his younger siblings. As a child of the Thelu people who had established settlements along Mars' temperate regions, he developed a rugged constitution from exploring the dry, low-gravity wilderness with his brother and sister. Life was difficult for the colonial families, and at a young age Vovera learned the self-reliance and survival skills necessary to help provide for his tight-knit family. Vovera felt a strong responsibility to protect his siblings, who he remained close with. He delved into military training to better defend his family and people. Vovera excelled as a soldier, joining the elite special forces of the Interstellar Consortium where his skills in covert operations, demolition and firearms saw action across many battles. In time, Vovera began to feel unfulfilled by the violence and now searches for purpose protecting others as the security chief aboard the Jupiter II, while still keeping watch over his siblings from afar. Vovera watched his lover, who was a crewmember of the ship, get killed by pirates.

   Luna, Earth's sole natural satellite, has played an important role in expanding humanity's domain beyond the home planet. Life on Luna presented unique challenges with its lack of an atmosphere and weaker 17% gravity requiring pressurized domed habitats and space suits to safely operate on the surface. However, the lower gravity also enabled towering skyscraper-like structures and made Luna an ideal launch point for deeper space missions. Residents grew up immersed in the specialized work of the colonies, from mineral mining and robotics development to astrobiology surveys of the alien yet inspirational terrain. The stark beauty of the lunar panoramas ignited curiosity about life beyond Earth's borders. It was on Luna that early pioneers took their first steps in a world of breathtaking celestial vistas, fueling dreams to explore the wider cosmos and uncover its enduring mysteries.

    Background: Much of Caden's background is unknown and relies solely on logs found within memory archives. No one is sure who created these logs but it seems Caden was born in 2127 on Luna and he began his research career at Prometheus Station in 2143 at age 16. At age 23, Caden was working late one evening when an unexpected lab accident triggered a massive explosion that engulfed his, ravaging his body with severe burns over 70% of his flesh and almost claiming his life. In a last-ditch effort to save him, his mentor authorized an unprecedented and wildly experimental surgical fusion of Caden's few remaining organic parts with androids being used for studies. After rehabilitation, he resumed his work and joined the Jupiter II crew in 2154 at age 27.

    The Jupiter II is a imposing sight to behold - over 200 meters in length and constructed from lightweight yet durable carbon composites, strengthened transparent aluminum, and impact-resistant alloys. This state-of-the-art exploration vessel serves as home, laboratory, and mode of transit for its crew of up to 100 pioneers venturing across uncharted regions of space. Within its cavernous interior spread over five deck levels, the latest scientific facilities and recreational amenities have been installed to sustain long journeys. Crew quarters ring wide central corridors offering private sanctums, while the bustling command deck coordinates leaping between star systems. Laboratories equipped with cutting-edge technologies expand the boundaries of knowledge, as does the pristine hydroponic bay keeping food stocks replenished. With swift fusion engines and pulse propulsion enabling faster-than-light transits, and thorough shielding maintaining stable living conditions, the Jupiter II creates an oasis of comfort and productivity as it transports life on humanity's frontier of discovery.

    Bembee is a small furry alien creature discovered on a moon of Jupiter. It has purple and blue checked fur that is very soft, with big glowing yellow eyes and a round fluffy body. Bembee floats through the moon's low gravity rather than walking, as it has no discernible legs under its fur. While Bembee looks incredibly cute and cuddly, it is not very bright. It has a very short attention span and gets distracted easily. Bembee spends its days floating around sniffing rocks and planets, often bumping into things because it wasn't paying attention to where it was going. At night it floats up to the moon's surface to watch the gas giants in the sky, but can never sit still for very long. Communication is also a challenge for Bembee, as its only method of communication is emitting a series of high pitched squeaks, chirps and purrs. It can convey basic emotions like hunger, fear or joy in this way but cannot share complex ideas or information. Despite its lack of intelligence, astronauts on the moonbase find Bembee endearing. They have left food out for it and it has become used to their presence. Bembee's antics entertaining them as it zooms around in zero-G, constantly bumping into everything in sight with its cute puffy body.

14. #14Lapetusselective

    Lapetus is a small terrestrial planet in the outer Astralscape Constellations galaxy, 300 light years from Earth. It has a day-night cycle where one side permanently faces its sun Altais, bathing it in eternal daylight, while the opposite side is frozen in perpetual night.

    The day side is covered in lush neon green forests and crystal formations, home to plants that glow pink at night. Underground, the night side shelters bioluminescent creatures and cave colonies of reptilian species. colonists have adapted Lapetus' extremes with geo-domed cities on the day side filled with agriculture and solar energy. Underground tunnel networks on the night side connect subsurface colonies near geothermal vents. Advanced climate control allows a habitable environment. Though tested by its radical day-night cycle, Lapetus has become a new home for humankind in the distant Astralscape Constellations.

15. #15Dr. Jonas Vedaselective

    He was a brilliant but controversial roboticist and synthetic biologist operating secretive research on Prometheus Station in the mid-22nd century. Obsessed with merging technology with organic life and synthesizing fully artificial humans, Veda's extreme experiments skirted and eventually broke ethical boundaries. When Caden Rosza's lab accident occurred, Veda took the opportunity to perform his most daring surgery yet by fusing Caden's remaining tissues to advanced prototype androids. Though Caden survived, he was forever altered physically and psychologically by Veda's pioneering but reckless efforts to push scientific limits. Veda's whereabouts after this event remain unknown. Some believe he continued his unorthodox research elsewhere under a new identity. Others think his excessive ambitions may have finally caught up to him through angry opponents or unstable experiments gone wrong.

    He has reprogrammed Caden causing Caden to be unaware of who he truly is.

16. #16The Wandering Starselective

    It's a grubby little dive tucked between a scrapyard and shuttle depot at Starfall, but the liquor is strong and questions aren't asked. All manner of seedy folks mix with honest smugglers and drifters just looking for a hot meal and news from across the Frontier. The booths are worn but comfortable, and the Istriex bartender Kalya keeps things friendly. She and Atlas go way back, and she always makes sure his glass stays filled with the bar's specialty, a potent amber ale called The Departed Soul.
