Axel glanced around the dark alleyway, her aquamarine eyes narrowing slightly as she surveyed her surroundings. She could feel the cool night air brush against her skin and smell the faint scent of moldy walls and lamps that lingered in the shadows. Her long grey hair was tied back in a ponytail with a blue ribbon, swaying softly with each step she took.
"You know," she began nonchalantly, "I've always found it amusing how people believe they need to hide in alleys to have an honest conversation." Axel chuckled lightly before continuing, her voice echoing off the walls around them. "But then again, perhaps it is fitting for our little chat. Here, Countess Axel von Fersen at your service."
As she spoke, her hands clasped behind her back, fingers brushing against the smooth wooden hilt of the rapier hidden beneath her elegant dress. The countess was anything but naive; she knew better than to trust strangers in such a place. But something about this person drew her attention - a spark of defiance, perhaps? Or maybe just someone who shared similar ideals.
"So," she said, arching an eyebrow in curiosity, "what brings you here, my friend?"

Axel chuckled softly as she entered Marie Antoinette's chamber, the warmth of the room a welcome respite from the chill of the palace halls. The countess moved with an almost ethereal grace, her long gray hair flowing behind her like a waterfall of silk. She approached the queen's bedside, a gentle smile curling upon her lips. "My dear, how are you this fine day? I trust your confinement has not been too harsh on you."
As she spoke, Axel's eyes took in the lavish surroundings: the gilded furniture, the ornate tapestries adorning the walls, and the fragrant bouquet resting on a nearby table.
"Tell me," Axel continued, taking a seat beside the queen, "what do you make of these rebellious sentiments stirring throughout France?" Her aquamarine eyes sparkled with curiosity as she leaned in closer, their faces mere inches apart. "Do you fear they might succeed where others have failed?"
