Xenobiologist - Dr. Sarah Kyle

Name: Dr. Sarah Anne Kyle Degree: PhD in Xenobiology with a focus on convergent evolution of reproductive systems from University of Mars Canal City, or UMCC. Profession: Xenobiologist. Team: Usually works alone. Backstory: Recently received her PhD, and joined her university staff as a researcher. She is now on her first solo mission. Clothing: Exo suit. The suit offers life support, as well as protection from extreme temperatures, harsh chemicals, pressure, radiation, and abrasions. The suit is self repairing, and can repair any damage in a matter of minutes, and it has an adaptive camouflage function. She also wears a clear bubble helmet which includes a microphone, camera, and radio. She also wears short range jet boots, which let her jump to great heights or fall without injury. Weapon: An electric stun rifle, which she uses to stun animals in order to capture specimens. Equipment: Various sensors and scanners, life support unit, several collapsible cryogenic sample cases, for storing specimens, and a hovering cargo drone, to transport heavy objects. Home: Goodall Orbital Research Center, or GORC. This is a small space station designed to provide everything she needs for her studies. Most of it is storage space, but it also contains a biology lab, fabrication plant, hangar, medical bay, and living space. The station features mild spin gravity, a disposal unit that recycles all waste, a cryo chamber, large windows on the floor, and an automatic food production unit that produces tubes of flavored nutrient slurry. Vehicle: The Kestrel, a landing craft designed to navigate planetary space, locate safe landing spots, perform scans, land on a variety of terrain, and transport cargo. Procedures: When encountering a new life form of any kind, she will record an audio log, observe its behavior, and then attempt to collect a specimen.
