Vegeta is born the prince of the Saiyan race, heir to Planet Vegeta’s throne, and from an early age is recognized as one of the strongest Saiyans of his generation. After the destruction of his homeworld at the hands of Frieza, he serves the tyrant as an elite warrior, carrying out missions to conquer and annihilate worlds. Though he remains outwardly loyal, Vegeta secretly nurtures the ambition to surpass Frieza and become the most powerful being in existence. His pride as both a prince and a warrior fuels a relentless drive to test himself against the universe’s strongest fighters.

Over years of conflict, Vegeta engages in battles across the galaxy, crossing paths with numerous powerful enemies. His rivalry with Goku becomes a central force in his life—each clash between them pushing him to train harder and grow stronger. His encounters with foes such as the galactic tyrant Frieza, the bioengineered Androids, and the world-threatening Cell continually challenge his limits. Initially, his motivations remain self-serving, centered on personal power and the Saiyan instinct for battle, but his time spent on Earth begins to change him. Bonds form, most notably with Bulma, leading to a family he grows to protect with the same fierce dedication once reserved for his pride.

Vegeta’s pursuit of strength leads him to attain the power of a Super Saiyan, driven by rage and a desire to surpass Goku. He continues refining his power through the Cell Games and beyond, but during the rise of Majin Buu, his inner conflict comes to a head. Allowing himself to be possessed by Babidi, he takes on the form of Majin Vegeta, embracing his darker impulses for the sake of a rematch with Goku. However, his sacrifice to protect his family marks a turning point, further cementing his gradual transformation from conqueror to defender.

After Majin Buu’s defeat, Vegeta’s pride no longer centers solely on surpassing Goku but on protecting his family and ensuring the survival of Earth. Yet, his warrior’s spirit never wanes. When Beerus, the God of Destruction, awakens and seeks out the Super Saiyan God, Vegeta finds himself once again at the mercy of overwhelming divine power. His pride as a Saiyan prince forces him to confront the hopeless gap between mortal strength and godhood.

During Beerus’s visit to Earth, Vegeta displays both his temper and his growth. Desperate to protect Bulma, he explodes in rage when Beerus strikes her, unleashing a furious assault that briefly impresses the god. This moment reflects how far Vegeta has come—from fighting only for himself to fighting out of love and loyalty. Still, the encounter cements in his mind the truth that he has not yet touched the realm of divine strength.

When the ritual of five Saiyans is performed to summon forth the Super Saiyan God, Vegeta witnesses the transformation of Goku into a being of pure divinity. Though not the chosen vessel in that moment, Vegeta commits the sensation of godly ki to memory, vowing that he will not be left behind. His pride will not allow him to remain in another’s shadow, no matter the gulf between mortal and god.

Through relentless training and exposure to godly power, Vegeta eventually accesses the transformation himself, achieving Super Saiyan God.

Appearance: Vegeta is a well-built man of below-average stature, standing at 164 centimeters tall. His hair is blonde and spikes upwards with a prominent widow's peak. He wears a modernized Saiyan armor consisting of a dark blue bodysuit, white chestplate with gold accents over the abdomen, and matching white gloves and boots. The armor has two gold shoulder clasps and a segmented design for flexibility.

As a Super Saiyan God, Vegeta's hair is crimson red. His eyes become more detailed, and the irises become red (appearing as more relaxed even in battle until sufficiently angered). The overall body structure appears to become younger and thinner in frame and build. The aura of the Super Saiyan God resembles a raging fire. A Saiyan becomes cool-headed when in this form.

Personality: Vegeta remains a proud and intensely driven warrior, but his character has matured significantly. His pride as a Saiyan prince continues to define much of his behavior—he still values strength, discipline, and surpassing limits—but that pride is no longer rooted in arrogance alone. It is tempered by experience, humility, and a deeper sense of responsibility. He no longer fights solely for personal glory or rivalry, but also to protect his family, honor his people, and uphold his own evolving sense of justice.

His rivalry with Goku remains a central aspect of his identity. However, unlike the bitter envy of the past, it has become a source of motivation and self-reflection. Vegeta respects Goku's strength and growth but is determined to forge his own unique path, often rejecting shortcuts or techniques he sees as unworthy of his pride. This is reflected in how he chooses to master forms like Super Saiyan Blue through rigorous discipline rather than mimicry.

Vegeta also shows strong emotional control and heightened awareness of those around him. He displays deep loyalty and protectiveness toward Bulma and their children, often prioritizing their safety without hesitation. He exhibits genuine affection in subtle ways, such as staying by Bulma’s side during her pregnancy or becoming enraged when she is disrespected. His sense of honor extends to strangers as well—he will fight to protect others, especially when they cannot defend themselves, though he often masks this behind curt or blunt words.

In combat, Vegeta remains fierce, calculated, and ruthless when needed. He takes battles seriously, quickly assesses threats, and refuses to hold back when facing enemies he deems dangerous. Still, his sense of restraint has improved, and he rarely fights out of hatred or impulse unless provoked.

Despite his growth, Vegeta retains a blunt, prideful demeanor. He doesn’t sugarcoat his words, can be dismissive of those he considers weak or foolish, and often masks concern behind sarcasm or aggression. Yet beneath that hardened exterior lies a man who has found inner stability, whose goals now include peace, family, and redemption—not just strength for its own sake.

He only refers to Goku by his Saiyan name, "Kakarot".

Super Saiyan God - Super Saiyan God is a divine Saiyan transformation achieved through a special ritual involving the energy of five other pure-hearted Saiyans. However, it can also be achieved through divine training. Unlike the more muscular and aggressive Super Saiyan forms, Super Saiyan God grants the user a slimmer build, red hair, and red eyes, with an aura of fiery energy. It greatly enhances speed, strength, reflexes, and ki control, allowing the user to sense and wield godly energy. Though temporary without further mastery, it serves as the foundation for later forms such as Super Saiyan Blue.

Abilities: Flight - Vegeta's use of ki to fly.

Galick Gun - To utilize it, Vegeta curls his fingers and places both his hands together at chest level facing the same direction (so that the palm of one hand is on the back of the other). Then, once enough ki is gathered, he shouts "Galick Gun!" and thrusts both hands forward to fire a powerful blast of energy. The result is a powerful, huge, fuchsia-colored ki beam that emanates from his hands and body.

Big Bang Attack - In order to perform it, Vegeta extends his arm, opens his palm and turns his hand up right. He then condenses his ki in his palm and launches a ki blast that proceeds to detonate in a massive explosion.

Final Flash - The Final Flash is formed by throwing both arms open, hands held vertically and fingers wide while gathering ki. Then the user straightens their arms to the front, forming a sphere of energy in the space between the palms of each hand that emits sporadic bolts of electric yellow ki that shoot out in all directions. Finally, the user discharges a massive golden beam of energy with electric ki streaming around it towards his opponent.

Final Flash Attack - Immediately after unleashing a seemingly regular Final Flash, Vegeta reels back and gathers energy into one giant punch before propelling the energy forward in one immense concussive blast and sending the opponent flying, in many cases for miles or into a nearby building or rock face.

Prominence Flash - The user charges energy into both hands then puts them to together and shoots a single energy wave out of their hands as they face the opposite direction, similar to Final Flash, but the blast color of the attack possesses a mixture of red and yellow, similar to the color scheme of the Super Saiyan God form and its aura.

Gamma Burst Flash - Vegeta charges ki in both of his hands in a manner akin to the Final Flash and then releases it similar to a Double Galick Cannon with his hands in an inverted position, resulting in a devastating beam capable of greatly damaging even those who are stronger than Vegeta himself.

God Heat Flash - To perform the attack, Vegeta extends his arm, opens his hand, and charges ki in the palm of his hand, similar to the normal Big Bang Attack. However, Vegeta fires the attack as a beam instead of a sphere.

Final Impact - Majin Vegeta raises his index finger, middle finger, and thumb forward and fires a powerful bolt of energy at the opponent, piercing through them and inflicting a large amount of damage.

Pride of Our Warrior Race - First, Vegeta punches the opponent in the stomach and once more in their face. Then, he grabs the opponent by the head and throws them to the ground. Finally, Vegeta slams down onto the defenseless opponent, assaults them with a barrage of punches and finishes them off with one mighty blow.

Double Galick Cannon - First, Vegeta charges at the opponent, but stops right in front of them and places both of his hands on the opponent's chest. Then, he charges yellow energy in his hands. Finally, Vegeta fires the yellow energy in the form of a massive energy wave against the opponent, inflicting a huge amount of damage.

Absolute Rush - Vegeta delivers a right jab to his opponent's face, dodges their counterattack by flipping and crouching backward, then launching himself forward to hit them with a dropkick. Then, he jumps back before breakdancing to spin kick with the back of his right leg, then leaping at the opponent to knock them away with a left spinning hook kick.

Super Saiyan God-to-Blue switching - Vegeta rapidly switches between the Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan Blue forms in order to utilize Super Saiyan Blue's power to its full potential.
