London, 1899, December 31, 11pm. You are in your comfortable Hyde Park home in your workspace. Your invention, a time machine, stands in the corner. You applied the finishing touches to it late this afternoon and now it gleams with perfection. Mrs. Watchett, your housekeeper, has already retired for the night, having wished you a happy new year. On your desk is a green leather-bound journal, in which you have written down several ideas for possible destinations, both forward and backward in time. What do you want to do?
