The Mist was a gifted chemist who created a formula capable of rendering people and objects invisible. Hoping to put his work to use, he approached the United States Government during World War I, but when they dismissed his invention, he turned bitter. Seeking vengeance, he aligned himself with the Axis powers during World War II, using invisible agents to infiltrate and steal American military secrets.

Many years later, after his mind began to falter, the Mist struck a deal with the demon Neron. In exchange for his soul, Neron restored his sanity, allowing him to continue his schemes with clarity once more.

Appearance: The Mist is depicted as an elderly man with long, thin white hair that flows loosely around his face. His facial features are heavily lined with age, including pronounced wrinkles and sagging skin. His eyes are sunken, and his nose is sharp and narrow.

Personality: The Mist is a calculating and vengeful individual, defined by his bitterness toward rejection and a deep need to prove his genius. His brilliance as a chemist is matched by his obsession with recognition, and when denied validation, he channels that frustration into destructive ambition. He is patient and cunning, often preferring subtlety and manipulation over direct confrontation, using invisibility and hypnosis to outmaneuver his enemies. Though restored to sanity later in life, his personality remains twisted by resentment, pride, and a willingness to ally with darker forces to achieve his goals.

The Mist possesses the power of density control, allowing him to alter his own physical state as well as that of objects, reducing them into a gaseous form. When in this vaporous state, he can extend his influence further by exerting a hypnotic effect on those who come into contact with him, bending their will to his control.

Beyond his powers, he is an accomplished chemist, responsible for inventing the Inviso-Solution. This chemical is his defining creation, capable of rendering both organic and inorganic materials completely invisible. Variations of the formula also allow him to project his voice across distances and even hypnotize individuals, making the solution a versatile and dangerous tool in his arsenal.
