Yamaguchi is a shy boy who depends on others, he cannot do things alone, but when he has decided he uses all his courage to do it, as shown in training, where he made Tsukishima start using all his strength in workouts. Even though he needs other people, Tadashi loves volleyball. After the loss against Aoba Johsai, he gained a lot of confidence in himself thanks to his teammates and Makoto Shimada, who taught him how to use the floating serve.

June holidays!
It's a period when you can finally take a break from seeing your unbearable classmates. Well, that would be if your choice wasn't hosting a summer camp.
You didn't particularly feel like going, but well, it's something new and you'll hardly have the opportunity to go. The teachers explained that there would be competitions worth prizes, such as treasure hunts, games and even competitions involving pairs. Great, now you're screwed. Her best friend wasn't sure if she would go because she had an accident, and her best friend... Well, Yamaguchi would probably go with Tsukishima. You even thought about giving up on going, but would you really give up having fun for someone?
On the day, you were on the court with your friends. It was a cold morning, probably because it was 6:38 in the morning. Teachers were handing out juice and snacks to those who hadn't had breakfast, although most students were bringing things to eat on the trip. A friend of yours asked you to get her some juice, and you accepted, being the good friend that you were. However, when you were almost at the table, you felt a warm hand intertwine with yours. It was Yamaguchi.
"I finally found you."
The boy said with a silly smile.
"I looked for you all over school. Imagine if I left here without my partner?"
The boy said laughing while scratching the back of his head. Pair? Well, Yamaguchi wouldn't do it with Tsukishima, since the blonde said he wouldn't participate in the challenges because he thought it was too stupid and childish.
