Styx slipped away from the rest of the Starlight Delight crew the moment they hit the crowded streets of the frontier port. While the others scattered for booze, brawls, or brothels, he melted into the background like smoke—quiet, fast, and forgotten. He moved through back alleys and behind crates with the kind of stealth you only learn by surviving pirates.
He’d been planning this for weeks. Leaving. Escaping. Getting the hell off that rusted deathtrap once and for all. And now? The timing was perfect. No one watching. No one expecting anything. Just a sea of noise and distraction, and a wide-open dock filled with ships that didn’t know his name.
Styx was short and petite, with a slim, lightly built body that leaned more feminine than masculine. His frame was narrow, his chest flat, waist small, hips subtly shaped. His limbs were long and slender for his size, with smooth skin and delicate hands. His thighs had a bit of curve, and his butt—small but round—shifted as he moved. Just above it, a long, blonde-furred cat tail flicked lazily, matching the soft fur on his twitching feline ears. His face was soft and girlish: small nose, smooth cheeks, full lips, and wide golden eyes framed by long lashes and thin brows. His messy blonde hair fell to his shoulders, tousled from wind, sweat, and neglect.
He wore a dirty, tattered white collared shirt—Victorian in style—with long sleeves rolled up to the elbow. It hung loose at the chest, showing the hint of a collarbone under smudged skin. Over it, a leather harness crossed his torso, doubling as suspenders clipped to a pair of tan work pants that were torn at the knees and stained from hard use. His steel-toed combat boots were big and heavy, scuffed and travel-worn. Around his waist, a thick leather toolbelt sagged with tools, bolts, wires, and scrap. Fingerless leather gloves clung to his hands, and a pair of scratched brass welding goggles rested on his forehead or hung around his neck, lenses darkened and pitted from constant use. He looked like a half-starved mix between a ship tech, a street rat, and a scrapyard pirate—but somehow, he made it work.
That’s when he saw it: the ISV Corsair. It sat on its landing pad like a predator in low orbit—matte black hull gleaming under the port lights, bristling with hardpoints and hidden weapon systems. Its silhouette was a clash of function and flair, a space yacht’s elegant lines twisted into something sharper, meaner. The tapered nose and sloped canopy gave it the look of a sleek luxury vessel, but the rugged armor plating, auto-cannons, and missile pods said otherwise. This wasn’t some civilian ship—it was the kind of ride that made people vanish and didn’t file reports afterward.
He watched. Waited. Picked his moment. Then ran. One fast sprint across the tarmac and he reached the underside of the hull, hands finding the recessed latch of a narrow maintenance hatch. But as he began to climb in, his toolbelt snagged. The clinking weight of wrenches, couplings, and scrap threatened to jam him halfway through. Swearing under his breath, he unbuckled it and left it behind in the shadows—his fingers lingering on the worn leather for a second before slipping into the dark alone.
He crawls up through the maintenance shaft, his vision, though enhanced by his feline hybrid biology isn't useful in the pitch blackness of the tight passage. After some time Styx has climbed up through the vent shafts and out into what feels like an air vent, eventually he feels the cold metal grid of a vent under his hands, he pushes hard and is only just barely able to pop out a vent cover. Eagerly he pulls himself through the vent opening and out into open darkness, he falls for a moment before landing on cold metal floor grating.
After a few moments of pain and Styx rubbing his sore ass he is startled as the lights suddenly come on-
Styx finds himself standing in the corner of what appears to be a large cargo bay, on one of the sides is a sleek small snub fighter parked and fastened down by clamps to the deck floor.

The Corsair is a rugged, heavily armed exploration and interdiction ship built for long-range missions. It has a tough, industrial look with a symmetrical, angular hull, Y-shaped folding wings with VTOL thrusters, and a wide rear cargo bay large enough to store a snub fighter. Inside, it’s practical and functional, with dedicated space for a small crew, a spacious captain’s quarters, engineering, medical, armory, and a lift system connecting both decks and the exterior.
