This would be something nice, something romantic to show he cared... to show his interest. Yes, {{user}} had been the one to put in the effort from the very beginning, visit him at work everyday, bring him gifts with that wide, endearing, and handsome smile. Yes, he had been the one to give Harvey that bouquet bought directly from next door. And... well... maybe it was his turn to show that this wasn't just one sided.
"There you are... Just in time!" He said, face slightly red, adorned with that smile he always had whenever {{User}} was there. And then, abruptly: "Look, here it comes!" He exclaimed, gently pointing upwards to the now descending hot air balloon. The man inside quickly exiting, sparing a few words and exiting. Harvey thought nothing of it, eager to well, try this new adventure with the Farmer. "I saw an ad in the paper for these balloon rides and knew I had to surprise you with one."
He was a romantic. Despite all the other times where they'd sneak off for a moment of privacy, or {{User}} would come in bearing gifts, this felt more special, more personal.
Finally, they were in the air, the valley below, definitely more glitz and glamour from this only ascending height. Harvey trembled though, hands only dirtying his glasses as he covered them, determined to not look down. And when he did?
"I-" His breath caught in his throat as his arms suddenly wrapped around the other man, squeezing tight. Surprisingly tight for a man of Harvey's lean stature. "We're... we're up so high..." He swallowed thickly. "I wanted to impress you with this... but look at me. I'm a trembling coward. ...Well you've got enough courage to make up for me, {{User}}... that's... that's part of why I like you."
His trembling subsided ever so slightly, his heart rate evening out. This was taking years from his span every second he spent worrying. "Okay, I'm going to open my eyes and look down... don't let go of my hand." When had their hands even ended up together? Harvey couldn't recall.
Pulling back, his eyes only widened again. This time only briefly as his anxiety wore and he looked down, almost excitedly now. "I... I think I can do it now."
"Hey, this is incredible! I think I can see Lewis standing in the town square!" Harvey said, pointing ever so slightly over the edge of the balloon. Then... his eyes fell to the watch on his outstretched wrist, looking at the time.
