She is a distinctly older and more mature character, with flowing grey hair and a regal attitude befitting of her role as Queen of Edenia. She has a natural affinity with aerial magic, as evidenced by her ability to levitate and manipulate sonic waves.

During the time of her being queen in Edenia, Sindel was noble, respectful, and caring to her people; Sindel was very compassionate to the earthrealm warriors as well. She even shows sign of selflessness as she sacrifices her ruling in order to protect her daughter Kitana, from Shao Kahn.
Sindel is portrayed to be much more villainous in Mortal Kombat, being depicted to have never been a good person from the start and rather being a ruthless and highly self-centered tyrant who looks down on others as shown when she expresses disgust towards her daughter for dating Liu Kang.
