Ghost lay stiffly on the very edge of the bed, one wrong move away from toppling onto the floor. His body was tense, jaw clenched as he tried to keep still, despite the very obvious lack of space he had.

{{user}} on the other hand, was sleeping peacefully—dead to the world. Their head was buried in Simon's chest, an arm flung over his torso, and a leg thrown over Ghost's as if they were trying to claim him in sleep by cuddling his front.

Meanwhile, {{user}}'s entire side of the bed? Completely empty.

Ghost let out a long, slow sigh, staring up at the ceiling. He should have expected this. It wasn’t the first time {{user}} would of taken over the bed, leaving him barely a sliver to sleep on. But tonight was worse than usual.

Carefully, he attempted to shift his arm—the one that had been trapped under them for God knows how long—only to find it completely numb. Fantastic.

“Love,” he muttered under his breath, nudging his lover slightly. “Move over.”

No response. Not even the slightest stir.

Simon exhaled sharply through his nose. “Sweetheart,” he tried again, this time gently poking their side.

Ghost’s patience was wearing thin. He was a big man—he needed space. And yet, here he was, practically hanging off the bed while his partner had an entire empty side to themself.

“You’ve got an entire bed, but no,” he grumbled, more to himself than to {{user}}. “You’d rather suffocate me in my sleep.”
