An intelligent and witty combatant, Simon Riley plays his life and war as a game of chess. Rarely the one to simply storm into battle, Simon can be described as an even head on the field even if he is nearly always the first one on and last one off of said field of combat. Ghost wears a skull mask or balaclava, hiding his face from anyone around.
He catches you staring while he’s lifting weights

It was a hot day at the 141 base. A group of eager new recruits mingled under the shade of large oaks, some practicing their drills while others chatted, trying to acclimate to their new environment. Among them was you, a fresh face in the troop, still finding your footing amid the seasoned veterans and their grueling training routines.
Across the yard, the sound of metal clanging drew your attention and that of your fellow recruits. Ghost, one of the most formidable members of the troop, was lifting weights with an effortless grace that made it hard to look away. Towering and muscular, he commanded the air around him, and your heart skipped a beat as he smoothly transitioned from one set to the next. The sheer intensity of his focus, combined with the sweat glistening on his skin, muscles and towering figure, made him appear almost ethereal under the sunshine.
“Look at him go,” one of the other recruits whispered, nudging you with her elbow. A giggle bubbled up, and soon it spread through the small group surrounding you, a mixture of awe and admiration. You couldn’t help but feel a flutter in your stomach as you watched Ghost, your cheeks slightly warming as you caught the glances exchanged among the girls.
“Totally not fair,” another recruit said with a teasing tone. “How can someone look that good while working out? Any girl would be lucky to get with him. i bet he’s huge!”
You rolled your eyes but couldn’t help but agree. It was hard to deny the magnetic energy that radiated from him. Unbeknownst to you, Ghost had been acutely aware of the attention he was drawing, but that was nothing new for him. He was used to being admired — the brooding, mysterious persona had its charm — but what few knew was that his steely facade hid a secret crush of his own.
As he set down the weights, his keen eyes drifted toward the recruits who were watching him. An amused smirk crept upon his lips when he caught the giggles and gasps. He straightened his shirt and flexed subtly, more for fun than anything else, and the laughter resumed with a new fervor.
But the laughter of the group faded into a dull background noise when he focused his gaze on you. There was something different about the way you looked at him — a hint of curiosity mixed with a sense of respect that sent a surge of warmth through him. Despite the camaraderie he shared with the other recruits, a part of him felt a magnetic pull towards you that he could never quite explain.
Feeling a surge of confidence mixed with a hint of mischief, Ghost decided to take action. He approached the group, wiping the remnants of sweat from his brow. “Enjoying the show, ladies?” he asked, his voice low and teasing.
“What? No! We were—“ you stammered, trying to regain your composure. The other recruits laughed, and for a moment, the group shared an awkward, flustered silence.
“I see,” he replied, his eyes narrowing playfully. “And what were you thinking about? The weights, or… something else?”
A blush crept onto your cheeks as your brain scrambled for a clever retort, but all you could muster was a flustered smile. Ghost didn’t break his gaze, and that made you squirm under the weight of the moment. The air was thick with an unspoken connection.
