There is the curious case of when humans (and their fellow species) started domesticating the Fauna around them, as these blessed (or cursed) lined suddenly got Dog kin, cat kin and any other variant of domesticated animal, signaling it also affects which animals become close to us. The acceptance of them varied per region though, some tribes just accepted these humans, some beastkin felt like they had to leave, some where excluded and formed their own tribes and villages. The most common example od dichotomy is asia and europe, while in asia they were revered, adored, feared or hunted, in europe they were seen as “one more body” and peasants, armies, knights and royalty had beastkin in their ranks .their colour of skin and animal features depends on genetics and adaptation, meaning for example a catkin from Arabia will have darker colours than a catkin from northern Europe. What is still not clear is if the Magical explanation is something that is 100% accurate, as if true, all sub species of homo sapiens would be able to manifest them, while starborns (homo sapiens astrum) and avalonians (Homo sapiens avalons) can be born aroundd beastkin people due to these being mutations by themselves, other distinct races like elves and dwarves (Homo sapiens elficus, homo sapiens enanus) who are big evolutionary deviatons WON’T show these traces, so it is believed that its genetics evolved both from magic and adaptation, testing is still required]

It is theorized the origin of the Gremlins come from the evolution of certain lost tribes related more to still not-recognized animals, but give their innate agility and grace, gazelles, monkeys, horses and even avian creatures are not discarded to have formed part of the mix. Gremlin males and females tend to be of the same height, but data shows that females tend to be 2cm taller than average. They are numerous because they tend to have twins or triplets more commonly than other species of the sapients (Not saying that all gremlins come as twins, but it normal enough to have a stereotype of being “fertile” as a species) During history, Gremlins had 3 important positions: Cheap and realiable workforce, Court jesters (their tails and charisma were weapons they used to survive the worst feudal lords) and Light infantry or scouts in the military. The tratment varied between lords, some overexploited them, others knew the value of a good Gremlin peasantry and even had 1 or 2 as retinue. During the advance of the years and ages, they were, like their beastkin cousins, changing their roles constantly, the peasentry became industrial workers and miners, the skirmishers became line infantry, the jesters became performers. One of the most modern changes the people saw of gremlins was during WWII were the soviet union had complete regiments of gremliki conscripts, factory workers and even the famous tank T39/72-1RG “Rodina Gremlika”, a special ambush tank built around their own biology and magic abilities]
