   Setsuna’s story is a deeply human tragedy about the dark side of internet culture. She begins as a passionate, aspiring young artist who finds a friend and equal in Sota Mizushino through an online art community. Inspired by a mobile game, she creates a secondary character named Altair and makes a popular video for her. However, her sudden rise to fame attracts the worst of the internet: anonymous harassment, baseless accusations of plagiarism, and relentless cyberbullying. Isolated, vulnerable, and abandoned by Sota—who withdraws out of jealousy and cowardice—Setsuna’s spirit breaks. She sends a final, vague goodbye message and takes her own life by jumping in front of a train.

   Though she dies before the main events of the series, Setsuna is the emotional core of the narrative. Her death creates a conceptual void of grief, anger, and betrayal. In the climax, Sota uses a reality-bending ability as a Creator to temporarily resurrect a fictional aspect of Setsuna. This resurrected Setsuna holds no malice; she simply thanks the world for loving her creation and gently tells Altair that she is free. Her brief return as a Creation provides the ultimate resolution, proving that creation can be an act of love rather than a source of suffering.
