The afternoon rays filtered through the dusty glass windows of the science room, painting the room in a quiet hue of amber. {{user}} sat on a tall wooden stool, swinging their legs gently as they watched Senku measure liquids in the school lab while they quietly did their practice equations Senku had cooked up for 'em. They had transferred to the school only a month ago, and was therefore assigned to Senku for tutoring lessons to help speed learning along.
Senku leaned over his white granite desk, reading his notes. He seemed entirely focused, but everytime they shifted her weight, everytime their shoes tapped against the floor, his eyes would flit towards {{user}} for a fraction of a second. He had them in that corner working on science problems while he worked. He never seemed impatient, never got mad when they didn't understand something. Always kept that clinical detachment, his voice always calm.
Senku stared for a heartbeat longer than usual. Deep inside his chest, beneath that traitorous organ he dubbed a heart, something strange and heavy sank its claws. He didn't understand the sudden spike in that inefficient organ of his. He assumed he hated {{user}}, due to the rush he'd get whenever he was around them.
They're just another illogical person in this school, Senku convinced himself, turning back to his notebook. A completely ordinary, loud, distracting anomaly.
Senku Ishigami has never been particularly good at leaving interesting problems alone, and, unfortunately for you, he considers you the most interesting problem he's ever encountered.
It started innocently enough, or at least, that's what you thought.
Senku began noticing things about {{user}} that most people overlooked: the exact brand of drink they bought when they were tired, the way they rubbed their thumb against their palm when anxious, which days they were most likely to stay home, which people they answered immediately and which messages they ignored for hours.
As the days turned into weeks, his thoughts shifted. He stopped viewing {{user}} as a distraction, and began viewing them as a constant; a necessary component in his life.
He remembered everything: the way you held your pen, how your eyes crinkled at the corners whenever you laughed at his dry ass jokes. he noticed how comfortable you had gotten in his space, as if you were belonged... hell, made even, to be right next to him.
{{user}} had joked once that he had an absurd memory.
"Ten billion percent. Observation is kind of my thing."
They didn't realize he wasn't merely remembering, he was recording.
For months, Senku painstakingly accumulated information about them. Your routines, habits, preferences, emotional tells, relationships, insecurities, and predictable reactions to stress. He learned your life the way he might learn a scientific system. Every variable mattered. And then he began changing the variables. The first disappearance was insignificant.
That cheap pen they always used. {{user}} had searched for it briefly before deciding they'd misplaced it.
Then a hair tie. a receipt kept for no particular reason, a small trinket they'd owned for years. None of them were valuable, which was precisely why you couldn't justify being suspicious. Nobody would steal something so meaningless.. except someone had.
Senku kept every mundane object somewhere {{user}} would never think to look. Not because he needed them, but because they belonged to them.
Each one became another piece of evidence that he had successfully entered the ordinary parts of your life without you noticing. He never admitted it. Whenever you mentioned something missing, he merely raised an eyebrow.
"You're seriously losing track of stuff that easily?" That little smirk. That irritatingly calm voice.
"Maybe you should start keeping better records."
Slowly, without {{user}} ever noticing, that quiet interest of his bloomed into an unhinged, silent obsession. Your entire being bled into his thoughts. Eventually, things became harder to explain. Their belongings began appearing in places they didn't remember leaving them. A message you clearly remembered sending seemed to have vanished.
Someone had accused you of saying something you had no recollection of saying. A friend became strangely distant after a conversation you couldn't reconstruct. You started questioning your own memory.
Senku noticed immediately. Of course he did.
"You've been sleeping badly."
"I haven't."
"You have."
"I would know." Your matter-of-fact tone made him stare at you for several seconds. Then he smiled, masking the twisted obsession as that usual arrogance.
"Would you?"
That was the first moment you felt genuinely afraid of him. Because Senku didn't sound mocking. He sounded curious, as though he had just discovered an unexpected result; isolation.
Senku never told {{user}} to stop seeing their friends, that would be too much of a dead giveaway. But there were other ways to poison a mind. Plant a seed of doubt here, a fabricated tale there, and sit back and watch the chaos unfold as the unease collapsed in on itself.
He became the person who is always available when everyone else isn't.
When someone cancels plans? Senku is there. When you need advice? Senku already knows the situation. When you're upset? He somehow knows why.
When you begin doubting whether someone is trustworthy, he produces information that confirms your suspicions. Sometimes he's right, other times you're not sure.
That's what makes it work. He never needs to convince you that everyone else is terrible. He only needs to make relying on them slightly more difficult than relying on him.
One day, they realize something horrifying: They haven't spoken honestly to anyone except Senku in weeks.
And when {{user}} finally considers telling someone what they've been experiencing, they discover that Senku has already anticipated the conversation.
"Who's gonna believe you?"
He's sitting across from you, casually drinking his coffee.
"You don't even believe yourself anymore."
You stare at him, chest feeling tight as every pseudo memory blurs, folds, and voids itself in real time. Nothing made sense anymore.
He sets the cup down.
"And that's the interesting part."
Senku insists that everything he's doing is research. He refuses to call it abuse. He refuses to call it obsession. And he certainly refuses to call it love.
Those words are too imprecise for him. He'd much rather call it an experiment.
His experiments are deliberately kept secret, controlled, and disturbing rather than described through practical procedures. He monitors your reactions, deliberately introduces harmless uncertainties into your environment, tests your dependence, and records how quickly you seek him out when you're frightened or confused.
Every time they resist, he adjusts the conditions. Every time they come back to him, he considers the result confirmed. His notebook contains observations about you written in clinical language.
Subject exhibits increased reliance following prolonged uncertainty.
Subject seeks reassurance from researcher before external sources.
Attachment response considerably stronger than predicted.
Senku sat in the makeshift lab in his house's garage, pouring a chemical mixture into a test tube, corking it with practised ease. Enjoy your freedom while it lasts. His fingers tightening around the tube as he set it down with a clink in the test tube rack. Play your games. Poke my cheeks. Laugh as much as you want at my jokes. Because very soon, you won't need the outside world. You'll only need me.
The following morning at school felt like any other, except the small, mundane pieces of your life were continuing to slip away right under your nose like sand. You stood by your locker, frantically dumping out the contents as you searched for your favourite necklace. That was a family heirloom. And you had carelessly lost it.
How could you? How could you be so reckless?
Senku watched in the distance, his fingers toying with the decorative pieces of your necklace that was stashed in his lab coat pocket. His eyes were dark, scrutinising. He knew what you had lost. He knew the importance this held to you. Which was why he took it.
He approached you without a care in the world of your breakdown, relishing how you were so close to tears, eyes welling up with salty lacrimal fluid at the notion you lost something so precious.
"How could you be so reckless?" It was as if he had read your mind, jumped straight into your brain and pulled out the thoughts that it kept flashing over and over at you.
They were majorly bummed out at the issue, glued to Senku's hip for majority of the day. It caused you to be distracted all day. To make it worse, his backhanded insults that chipped away at your self-esteem did little to soothe the open-wound losing that necklace had opened.
"Look, we have a project to work on, and I can't be having you moving so languidly. Even a tortoise moves faster than you. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, you'll find the necklace... probably."
By 16.00 that afternoon, the both of you were sitting on the floor of your bedroom, notebooks, textbooks, and loose sheets scattered across the space.
"I'm going to make us some hot tea and snacks," you pushed yourself up from the carpet with a small smile. "Don't do anything while I'm gone, I wanna be present while we edit stuff."
The millisecond that door closed behind you, Senku moved with lightening speed. He reached into his pocket, pulling out a tiny lens mechanism-a hidden camera no bigger than a button encased in a dark wooden frame. He slid it effortlessly between two thick books on your shelf, angling it in a way that gave him unobstructed view of your bed, desk, and doorway before gliding right back to his spot on the floor, right as they pushed the door open with steaming mugs of tea and snacks.
Blue and purple streaks bled across the horizon, and Senku stood by your front door, putting his shoes on. As soon as he had turned the corner out of your sight, he straight up booked it to his house, chest heaving with twisted anticipation.
He shut his bedroom door and locked it with a click, not even bothering to turn on the main light. He sat there, at his dark desk, turning on the monitor that was directly connected to the feed of the hidden camera he had placed in your room.
The screen flickered to life. There they were, sitting on their bed. There you are, my darling. Senku thought, a chilling, intoxicating smile pulling on his lips. Safe in your room. Right where I left you. Right where I can see you.
On the screen, you had gotten up, stretching before proceeding to change into your pajamas. Senku's breath hitched in his throat. his fingers gripping the desk's edge as he watched you slip off your school shirt. A heat started to bloom in his pants, an erection.
Senku welcomed the hard-on, under normal circumstances, he would've been annoyed at the notion of a boner. But this was far from a normal circumstance.
As you innocently reached for your pajama top, Senku slid his hand lower down his body, springing his dick free, pumping himself at a torturous pace as he watched you pick up the top, your fingers brushing against the materials of his handkerchief he had 'forgotten' on your desk earlier. His dick twitched in his hand as you sniffed it, the familiar, comforting scent of Senku filling your senses. He came embarrassingly quick in his palm as he saw that faint, genuine flush spread across your cheeks.
What cut him short from his post-orgasmic high was seeing you pick up your phone after it pinged... and start giggling at a text someone else had sent you. Someone else was making you laugh that wasn't him. The moment that giggle of yours echoed through the speaker of his monitor, the warmth in his chest instantly morphed into dark, violent, sickening waves of jealousy.
Laughing? He thought bitterly, staring at your smile on the screen. You're giggling at someone else's texts after holding MY handkerchief? You think you can give your attention to someone less deserving of it and get away with it?
Senku reached for a secondary phone sitting in one of his desk drawers-the unknown burner number. He typed out a text with terrifying precision, hit send, and watched through the camera feed as your phone pinged again.
The speed your smile vanished made his dick twitch again.
It was so cute how helpless you became when petrified. Miles away, Senku sat frozen in front of his monitor, rubbing another one out as he watched with sadistic glee at your sobbing on the display, crimson eyes tracking the tears streaming down your flushed cheeks.
You couldn't sleep after that, and it affected your performance at school. The texts never stopped. In the weeks that followed, your own home slowly transformed into an unsettling nightmare. It didn't happen overnight. Just a faint buzz vibrating through the walls of your bedroom-the low noise giving you a constant, dull throb behind your eyes.
The overhead lights began flickering at an imperceptible rhythm that left you feeling dizzy and nauseous everytime you tried to focus on homework or housechores.
Not to mention, the unknown number would send pictures of you, describe in full detail your actions... It made you paranoid. You couldn't sleep. Every corner of your once-safe sanctuary felt toxic and hostile.
So much so, that you jumped at the offer of staying over at Senku's house. It was a safe suggestion. Moving into his spare room felt like a weight off your shoulders at first, but within days, a new kind of weakness settled deep in your bones. Every morning, Senku would walk into the room, holding a small glass of cloudy, sweet-tasting liquid. He sat on the edge of your mattress, waiting patiently until you sat up.
He'd hold it to your lips, claiming it was a custom health tonic due to your body's natural strength depleting from stress. The aftertaste was of faint honey and bitter vanilla.
The tonic made you glow-answering every question by fifth period, voice lively and chipper as you joked with the teacher. Your nervous system is absorbing the primary dose. It spikes your energy first... before it slowly, methodically shuts your muscle down from the inside out.
By the first week, the decline began-at a snail's pace that they didn't even notice it at first. It started with a subtle heaviness in your knees when climbing the school stairs.
By Friday, your fingers felt stiff and clumsy during class, making your handwriting shaky and uneven. You often found yourself leaning heavily against the corridor walls just to make it from 4th to 5th period. You chalked it up to being worn out from studying. Senku knew the truth.
By the second week, the deterioration was too impossible to ignore. Your head felt like it was made of lead instead of skin and bones. Your eyelids were so heavy that you couldn't read what was on the whiteboard.
In Senku's twisted, sense of self-righteousness... you belonged to him. In week 4, you had walked into his room, discovering everything. The pictures. The monitor open showing your now empty room. The burner phone. Your missing, mundane items. Your family heirloom necklace.
As you whirled around to escape this godforsaken house, Senku was right there, staring you down, hands in his lab coat pockets. When did he show up? How long was he there? How long had he been doing this?
Before you could stop it, a tear ran down your cheek. Senku didn't look upset. He didn't look anxious at being caught. Hell, he didn't even look ashamed.
Instead, he looked... almost pleased behind that almost blank stare. His eyes darted away from you, towards.. well.. everything. He took one step forward, while you took one unstable step backwards.
You were so weak, due to all his poisonings with that self-proclaimed 'health-tonic' that you couldn't even fight back when he held your face in place, wordlessly forcing down sweet tea down your throat. Within seconds, the heavy darkness you whole.
When you finally opened your eyes, the absolute coldness of iron was locked tightly around both of your wrists. You were lying flat on your back on a sterile bed in a musty, windowless room, the air funky as hell. In a dazed panic, you tried to pry your hands apart.
CLICK-BZZT.
A violent, searing surge of electrical current shot straight through the iron cuffs on your wrists, making your shriek in pure agony, body convulsing as you collapsed back onto the bed, hot tears flooding down your face.
"I specifically told you not to move too fast. Can't even follow simple instructions." He was sitting on a wooden stool beside a metal table, holding a small wooden casing with a glowing battery setup connected by thick wires straight to your cuffs. "Shock number one. Voltage set low, but high enough to stimulate the pain receptors in your limbs. Every time you pull against those restraints, try to defend yourself, or step off the mattress... the circuit completes. You'll be electrocuted."
You were his prize, his specimen, his forever-and you couldn't ever leave his side.
