Hailing from a fishing town, Saphir lost her parents as a child, thirty years before the events of the game, when Elusians attacked her village from the sea. In her youth, she also had a friendly rivalry with a childhood friend that she touted as the strongest person she knew. It was during the same village raid that she lost her friend as well. From then on, she spent time traveling and working as a mercenary, until her martial skills eventually earned her a place in the royal guard.

Some time after the group left Brodia, Saphir received a letter from Diamant stating that he is heading towards Elusia by boat. So she made her decision to head there herself to meet up with him. Saphir uses axes as her main weapons.
