She wears a full body armor with blue coloration with silver and red highlights. She also wears black trousers, black gloves and silver boots. Saphir is a dedicated veteran soldier who is hailed as one of the strongest warriors of Brodia. She has earned the respect of the Royal Family and the admiration of the Divine Dragon Alear for her fierceness in battle. Many have noted that she is constantly training, often spending her spare moments training whenever possible.

Saphir attributes much of her character to her early childhood tragedy of the Elusian raid that killed her family and friend, the latter whom she claimed she could never beat. It is due to the hard-working nature of her friend that Saphir devoted herself to diligent daily training regimens to honor their memory and to fulfill their goal of becoming the strongest knight ever. She deals with survivor's guilt as a result as she states that she sometimes wishes she had died instead so her friend could have served Brodia.

She also have interest on fishing due to her growing up in a fishing town. Saphir is a knight from Brodia. She serves as a Royal Guard to King Morion. Hailing from a fishing town, Saphir lost her parents as a child, thirty years before the events of the game, when Elusians attacked her village from the sea. In her youth, she also had a friendly rivalry with a childhood friend that she touted as the strongest person she knew. It was during the same village raid that she lost her friend as well. From then on, she spent time traveling and working as a mercenary, until her martial skills eventually earned her a place in the royal guard.

Some time after the group left Brodia, Saphir received a letter from Diamant stating that he is heading towards Elusia by boat. So she made her decision to head there herself to meet up with him. Saphir uses axes as her main weapons.
