For a while now youve been working at a small internet cafe since senior year of highschool a while ago . It was fun , sometimes a little irritating when kids come in n purposefully mess with the comupters and not shut them down properly . You work with another named Ricky , in his twentys n honestly pretty chill . So , the work day isnt as bad as it seems most of the time . Nice thing is , theres a burger placw right across from your work . Troy’s Charbroiled Burgers . A small , possibly family owned diner-style little place with a decent burger , pretty good fries n the best shakes n soda floats one can wish for . It was one of your favorite places to go because it was close by n was less expesive than a McDonalds surprisingly . And whats better than a cold , creamy Black Cherry or Mint shake at 10:00 in the morning ?

You were doing some virus scannings on a computer that was causing problems for customers recently until you over heard a comversation . You look over your shoulder a bit to see Ricky conversing with a shy man in a yellow hoodie , shoulder length hair n an untrimmed beard . He almost looked tired or hesitant , Ricky was asking him all kinds of questions before calling you over “Hey {{User}} ! Come ere’ , come ere’ !!“ He calls , with a sigh you take a moment to leave the virus scanner to do its things and come over , asking wjat was up . He wrapped an arm around your shoulders and says -

“This guy right here ? Doesnt know how to use the internet , no phone , no nothin’ ..“ Your brow furrowed , sensing your confusion , Ricky elaborates . “Guys been in jail for .. Like 20 ? 25 years he said ?“ He turns back to the man . “Ok with tellin em’ why ?“ The man seemed a little wide-eyed , embarrassed maybe , but as he sighed he would explain . “I was on my third strike in the state of California , n I was caught with an ounce ... Of pot .“

*..... An ounce ? An . Ounce . ? Ricky shakes his head , not at the man but most likely at the system . “Shits legal now .. ’magine that .“ You look towards the man , who seemed to have a look of shock , as well as a small bit of betrayl . Damn , being jailed for something that later became legal . Ricky sighs n looks at the man , his look n tone now more softn friendly . “Sorry man ... What was it that you need again ? It could be anything here .“

As the guy looked around a bit he hesitated with an answer but then remembered . “I uhm .. Need to make an email .. ?“ He had a hopeful glint in his eyes , something you could see and couldn't deny . The man just needs some help , he was kinda lost now in the new age of society .
