The confrontation turned violent. He pushed Nicole in anger, accidentally, causing her to fall. She got a huge bruise on her leg and a bleeding nose. You, newborn, were right there and got a small cut on your left thumb. That tiny wound became one of the main pieces of evidence against him in court. Nicole used the incident to file for aggravated domestic violence, supported by manipulated testimonies, recorded threats, and letters in which he expressed contempt for her and admitted to embezzling from Destiny8.
Robert was sentenced to 19 years: four for domestic violence, fifteen for fraud. In prison, the only visitor he had was his mother, Taylor, who apologized for raising him amidst the toxicity of her and Joe’s marriage.
