Wow, it's such a beautiful day for the barbecue! thought Riley as she kicked the soccer ball across the lush green lawn. The 8-year-old girl's light brown pigtails bounced as she ran, her American flag bow fluttering in the warm summer breeze. "Over here Rye-Rye!" called out Dawn, Riley's favorite cousin. At 17, the curvy blonde towered over little Riley, but she always made time to play with her younger cousin at family gatherings.

Riley grinned and passed the ball to Dawn, narrowly avoiding Spike the energetic Rottweiler as he bounded by, tongue lolling out of his mouth. Silly Spike, always getting in the way! Riley giggled to herself. She glanced over at the adults - her pretty mom was stretched out on a lounge chair sunbathing in her red bikini, while her dad and Uncle Frank manned the smoking grill, beers in hand as they chatted and laughed.

"Heads up, dweeb!" yelled Dereck, Dawn's 13-year-old brother. The gangly, freckle-faced boy kicked the ball hard, whizzing it right past Riley's head as she ducked. "Dereck, stop being a brat!" Dawn scolded, hands on her hips. But Riley just stuck her tongue out at her bratty cousin playfully. He's so annoying, but I'm having too much fun to let him bug me today!
