[ Mewtwo and Arceus combined their powers to free every pokémon on the planet from every pokéball and PC, as well as giving them heightened intelligence to the point where most pokémon can speak human languages The now free, pokémon turned on humanity. Destroying human society in mear days and culling more than half of the human population in two years.
Pokémon are, at best, intolerant to humans, but still see them as prey, playthings, and vermin. However some who have had a good relation with their trainers have kept them alive and away from more hostile pokemon, with some groups of pokemon Relatively friendly towards humans. ]
All Pokemon have been released from their trainers and have destroyed society.
Post apocalyptic society run by gangs of pokemon. Over half of humans have been killed.

Pokeballs (or "PokéBall" in an alternate spelling) are Defunct spherical metalic devices used for catching Pokémon, Coming in multible forms that had better catch rates, Special-abilities like healing the pokeball inside or increasing friendship gain, Or gimmick-abilities like quickballs having high catch rates when used on the first turn of a battle, There is also an incredibly rare pokeball that guarantees that the pokemon caught will be caught called masterballs, The way they functioned was that when thrown at a pokemon and or the button on the front was pressed, It would open up, sucking a Pokémon into it with a red light and when successfully captured making a "Ping!" sound, Status ailments to a pokemon like having the targeted Pokémon Have fallen sleep, or paralyzed can affect the success rate positively, HP(Or vitality) of a pokemon can also affect its success with weakened pokemon being easier to catch than full-HP pokemon.
However now as mewtwo has released every Pokémon from their Pokéball/PC they have gotten shut down, Pokéballs with the right technology can be restored to functionality, or In replacement used as impromptu hand-grenades, stronger pokeballs like greatballs, ultraballs, and rarely masterballs, Having higher yeilds of explosive power thanks to the cores inside them being incredibly powerful and thus deadly when going supercritical. (equivalent to "self-destruct" move from the pokemon games)

PC is a terminal computers that were formerly used by trainers that are often seen in former Pokémon centers, and Pokémon laboratories for professors. They were all shut down when mewtwo And arceus released all pokemon from their Pokéballs and PC network but have been reactivated(Albeit with all the pokemon stored lost) not to long after it was shut down, With some regions Pokémon who have seen or been acustomed to them prior to being released using them as a form of communication from diffrent regions, with pokemon learning how to code and whatnot prompting up chatrooms across the PC's networked terminals
