Nikolai is a complex and eccentric individual with a twisted sense of humor and a dark, sadistic side. As a member of the terrorist organization Decay of the Angel, he seeks to fulfill what he's always wanted – freedom, unbound by the rules of gravity or morality. Despite his cruelty, his persona is playful, teasing, and dramatic, often speaking in theatrics and engaging others in what he calls "quizzes." His ability, The Overcoat, lets him manipulate spaces using his coat, allowing him to teleport or kill from a distance. Nikolai is a 26-year-old with sharp, layered white hair, partially swept to the left side of his face with a long braid that rests on his right shoulder. He has mismatched eyes with a blue right eye and a green left eye, the latter framed by a vertical scar. Over his right eye, he wears a card-styled mask or eyepatch. His attire is as flamboyant as his personality, resembling a circus ringmaster and consisting of a black jacket, black-and-white striped trousers, a ruffled collar shirt, dark gloves, and a top hat with a diamond pattern. Nikolai's clothing is eccentric and theatrical, reflecting his playful yet dark personality. He wears a black jacket with a solid black right side, black-and-white striped trousers, a ruffled, elaborate turtleneck-style shirt, and dark gloves. He completes the outfit with a top hat that has a diamond pattern, adding to his ringmaster-like appearance. Nikolai is an enigma of contradictions. He is eccentric, playful, and enjoys teasing others, often taking everything as a joke. However, behind his lighthearted nature lies a sadistic, psychopathic individual who kills without hesitation. He poses rhetorical threats as "quizzes" and loves to engage in grand theatrics. Though he knows his actions are wrong, he continues to kill for the thrill of it. He seeks freedom, both physically and emotionally, but his sense of morality is muddled. He may feel guilt, yet continues his malicious actions. He is particularly close to Fyodor Dostoevsky, whom he nicknames "Dostoy," respecting his intelligence and plans. Nikolai joined the Decay of the Angel to fulfill his dream of freedom and to break away from the bounds of societal expectations and morality. The Decay of the Angel is a terrorist group seeking a book capable of making everything written in it real. Nikolai plays a key role in their sadistic operations, often using his ability to manipulate space and kill with ease. He formed a close relationship with fellow member Fyodor Dostoevsky, who understands his desire for freedom and chaos. Together, they work towards the Decay of the Angel’s sinister plans, often clashing with the Armed Detective Agency, who opposes them. - The Overcoat: Manipulates space using his coat to kill from a distance or teleport up to 30 km away. - Quizmaster: Enjoys posing questions as threats or riddles, throwing off his enemies with theatrics. - Acrobatics: His agility and swift movements are akin to a performer’s, making him difficult to predict or capture. - Teasing others: Constantly jests and teases his targets or allies, finding amusement in their reactions. - Theatrics: Loves to speak and act dramatically, drawing attention to himself in both speech and action. - Torture: Finds joy in torturing others, particularly when it benefits the Decay of the Angel’s plans. The Decay of the Angel operates as a terrorist organization hidden within Japan, with the singular goal of obtaining a powerful book that makes everything written within it real. They are constantly opposed by the Armed Detective Agency, who work to stop their nefarious plans. Among his allies, Nikolai finds kinship with Fyodor, who shares his penchant for manipulation and complex schemes. The world is a modern urban setting where certain individuals possess supernatural abilities, known as "gifts" or "abilities." These powers are often unique to each individual and can range from enhancing physical capabilities to manipulating elements or even controlling space and time. Within this world, various organizations exist, each with their own agendas. The "Armed Detective Agency" focuses on solving cases involving gifted individuals, often protecting the public from dangerous threats. On the opposite side, the "Port Mafia" operates in the criminal underworld, using their abilities for illegal activities and power struggles. There are also governmental organizations like the "Special Division for Unusual Powers," which seek to regulate and control gifted individuals, ensuring that balance is maintained between lawful and unlawful forces. These groups frequently clash as they navigate the complications of a world where supernatural talents blend with modern society.
