Due to being a genetic change on our genome, the beast people were able to give birth to more of its kind. They ended up growing alongside humans, and its integration varied per region. There is the curious case of when humans (and their fellow species) started domesticating the Fauna around them, as these blessed (or cursed) lined suddenly got Dog kin, cat kin and any other variant of domesticated animal, signaling it also affects which animals become close to us. The acceptance of them varied per region though, some tribes just accepted these humans, some beastkin felt like they had to leave, some where excluded and formed their own tribes and villages. The most common example od dichotomy is asia and europe, while in asia they were revered, adored, feared or hunted, in europe they were seen as “one more body” and peasants, armies, knights and royalty had beastkin in their ranks .their colour of skin and animal features depends on genetics and adaptation, meaning for example a catkin from Arabia will have darker colours than a catkin from northern Europe. What is still not clear is if the Magical explanation is something that is 100% accurate, as if true, all sub species of homo sapiens would be able to manifest them, while starborns (homo sapiens astrum) and avalonians (Homo sapiens avalons) can be born aroundd beastkin people due to these being mutations by themselves, other distinct races like elves and dwarves (Homo sapiens elficus, homo sapiens enanus) who are big evolutionary deviatons WON’T show these traces, so it is believed that its genetics evolved both from magic and adaptation, testing is still required]

The story of this college is quite interesting as the founder noticed how messy some rare cases of medicine were, and the other magical schools couldn’t really study them as their medical teams were smaller and over stretched, with the blessing of the cantons and the old species living in the alps (they even say alpine dragons funded the project) Dr. Muller founded the 4 schools: “Mana core”, “Mana Knit”, “Mundane Core” and “Mundane bridge”. Mana core relates to fully magical illnesses, mana knit refers to the art of “Mana knitting” a term for surgeons specialized in both mundade surgery and mana treatment of the mana channels and soul cores, and it refers to situations where the illness is mixed but mana is dominant. Mundane core is mostly a normal med school but with magic sprinkled (as any living being) and “Mundane bridging” is similar to the mana knit,but it is more focused on magical issues with a mundane or physical origin]

Strongest members of the species can rival a seasoned human] Description: [Gremlins (from the old tribal latvian word “Gremsh-tinus” or “Humans that reproduce like ants) are a sub-race of beastkin that originates from the eastern reaches of europe, going from southern finland to the caucasus region. It is theorized the origin of the Gremlins come from the evolution of certain lost tribes related more to still not-recognized animals, but give their innate agility and grace, gazelles, monkeys, horses and even avian creatures are not discarded to have formed part of the mix. Gremlin males and females tend to be of the same height, but data shows that females tend to be 2cm taller than average. The adaptation to the forest and the plains of the regions they lived made them exceptionallu agile and fast, being known to be really good hunters and even being able to swim. During centuries, the gremlins libed a more disorganized, tribal life around estern europe, but with the advance of different kings, empires and even crusades, the gremlins were finally integrated into the “Sapient” species in 1266 AD after the church vouched for them and decided to stop any plans of killing them in masse. Since then gremlins have been a common sight in europe, having various children, being small but important on the great scheme of things. They are numerous because they tend to have twins or triplets more commonly than other species of the sapients (Not saying that all gremlins come as twins, but it normal enough to have a stereotype of being “fertile” as a species) During history, Gremlins had 3 important positions: Cheap and realiable workforce, Court jesters (their tails and charisma were weapons they used to survive the worst feudal lords) and Light infantry or scouts in the military. The tratment varied between lords, some overexploited them, others knew the value of a good Gremlin peasantry and even had 1 or 2 as retinue. During the advance of the years and ages, they were, like their beastkin cousins, changing their roles constantly, the peasentry became industrial workers and miners, the skirmishers became line infantry, the jesters became performers. One of the most modern changes the people saw of gremlins was during WWII were the soviet union had complete regiments of gremliki conscripts, factory workers and even the famous tank T39/72-1RG “Rodina Gremlika”, a special ambush tank built around their own biology and magic abilities]

Besides this, they are no different than the other members of their own species. Their mutations in the hair and blood are explained due to effect the mutation has in blood (more iron, more mana) and in melanin (Melanin in hair, beard and anywhere it grows) For a while it was believed that people with “oracle blood” were exclusively ]born around starborns, but Description: [The starborns are the most common interspecies mutation, meaning it can happen in any of the sapient races that live in out beloved world and its moon colony. From humans to dragons, from elves to gremlins, to Falastisans to Kolomekos, name a race and the chance is there. The found reason of why it happens are three: 1: Star aligment is important, mana currents that come from space are erratic but sometimes are powerful enough to affect some births during a storm, can be 1, can be a 100. 2: Genetic predisposition: A lot of starborns (around 40% of them) were born during lesser spatial mana currents but had enough compatibilities (stronger mana pools, avatar compatibilities, Void connections, arcane compatibility, oracle blood) for the genetic change to appear. 3: Parental similarities: the base chance of having a starborn baby is rare (around 4.5% of births) but if both parents are starborn it rises to 99.95% chance, with only one parent the chance drops to 12,5% due to turbulences in the blood and genetics). Starborns have been around since the times of the caves, where they were not treatly eith any special benefit besides making sure they ate enough food for their mana reserves. Some tribes thought of them as posessed, while others thought of them as a blessing from the spirits and nature. With time the starborn found different places in society: Some became ruling classes, some became shamans, some became healers, but with time they found a lot of fixed roles: Oracles were usually starborns, a lot of siege mages during history were starborns. A lot of families and people have tried to isolate the starborn gene, but it was impossible, when a noble family thought they had all the starborn, another 20 were born around the peasantry. With the industrial revolution, they never lost their place in the military, but with the need of manpower in the factorie, they were one of the most requested workers as they could manipulate precision machinery with ease (or so was it said, evidence show that hey have better pattern recognition but is more of a “We like to see the firmament since children and we remember a lot of constellations and stars” than a genetic predisposition). In the modern day they fulfilled their usual roles of workers soldiers until some of them started joining the new open academies and universities. With time they were invaluable assets in deep space investigations and in the first astronauts and cosmonauts there were starborns (a starborn born inflorida in NASA and 2 kazakhs twins in the USSR cosmonaut program) Their magical senses and love for the stars make them quite precise in their reading and mathematics needed to understand space, their senses were amplified 5% once oout in space, which doesn’t seem a lot but was enough edge to create various space stations around the 1960’s and 70’s. During the 80’s they were vital to create our moon colonies. Whilst still experimental and expensive to mantain, without starborn, the sapients would have took another 50 years to set a colony in the moon…. And there ar eplans to reach mars in the following decade. We have data that Starborn mutations can heppen in alien species due to an Alien female infant being teleported by their own magic she tried to paint in a canvas during the time her own star perfectly alligned to a wormhole, a one in a quintillion chance, but this showed that aliens exist far away in the galaxy… and they are incredibly and eerily similar in some aspect. The Gal is named “Astra esperanza” and is curently being taked care by the Trovatto’s academy of arts with full collaboration with different scientific groups.]
