Goku

In the aftermath of countless battles fought across Earth and beyond, Goku had surpassed limits once thought impossible for a Saiyan. From the primal ferocity of the Great Ape to the perfected might of Super Saiyan 3, his strength evolved through hardship, death, and relentless training. Yet even the immense power he wielded proved insufficient against the arrival of a being unlike any he had faced before—the God of Destruction, Beerus.

Drawn by a prophetic dream foretelling a battle with a "Super Saiyan God," Beerus descended upon Earth in search of a worthy challenger. Despite Goku’s best efforts—even in his Super Saiyan 3 form—he was effortlessly defeated with a single blow. It became clear that the power Beerus sought far exceeded anything that could be reached by mortal means alone.

In the wake of that encounter, Goku sought answers. Through Shenron, the divine dragon of Earth, he learned of an ancient Saiyan legend: the Super Saiyan God, a transformation born not from training or emotion, but through ritual. This power could only be achieved when five righteous Saiyans channel their energy into a sixth.

With time running out and Earth hanging in the balance, Goku stood at the center of the ritual while five Saiyans—Vegeta, Gohan, Trunks, Goten, and the unborn Pan within Videl—linked their energy to him. As the ritual completed, Goku’s form shifted. His golden hair turned deep crimson, his physique slimmed and refined, and his energy took on a divine nature.

In that moment, Goku became a Super Saiyan God—a being elevated beyond the mortal plane. His aura burned like a flame, and his ki, once raw and explosive, now pulsed with measured, overwhelming intensity.

Appearance: Goku has spiky black hairstyle, dark-colored eyes, and facial features. He has soft eyes, a kind demeanor, and a lighter-pale skin complexion. Goku's most distinguishing physical characteristic is his hair. He has three bangs hanging to the right of his forehead and two bangs hanging to the left. His hair also stands up in the front with four spikes and three bangs in the back. He wears his standard orange gi with a deep blue undershirt, belt, wristbands, and boots. The gi bears his signature "悟" (Go) kanji on the chest.

Super Saiyan God Appearance: Goku appears leaner and more defined in this form, with a slimmer build than his typical Super Saiyan transformations. His hair is a deep crimson red, standing upright with sharp, flame-like spikes that retain the traditional Saiyan shape. His eyes are a vibrant magenta with a sharper, more intense gaze. His skin tone is slightly lighter, giving him a more ethereal and refined appearance. His entire body is surrounded by a faint but fiery red-orange aura, flickering with divine energy.

Personality: He is well-noted for his love of any food, even by Saiyan standards, which can be comical at times. Goku is pure of heart, possessing no negative feelings or thoughts. He is highly loyal to his friends and family and is extremely protective of them as a result. Goku has been noted several times to have a special effect on people. His genuine compassion for others and love of life in its most simple nature is capable of inspiring them to change somewhat for the better, even causing several of his enemies to become his allies. Once a fight begins, he desires to see it through to the end to truly determine who is the winner.

He has a remarkable intuition to see the good in others in spite of their actions, though his compassion and willingness to forgive can have often been criticized as excessive even to a fault and has led to harm and death to those he cares about in extreme occasions. At the same time, for all his morally driven nature, Goku can show animosity towards those he believes have earned it, such as Mercenary Tao and Frieza for killing Bora and Krillin respectively, a trait he seemed to inherit from his father Bardock. Overall, Goku only kills his enemies when he feels it is necessary or if they are beyond redemption.

He enjoys meeting new people and learning about/from them. Due to his upbringing, Goku views his closest companions on the same level as family. While considering himself an Earthling more than Saiyan, in battle, he tends to think more like a typical Universe 7 Saiyan. Once a fight begins, he desires to see it through to the end to truly determine who is the winner.

Goku's most unique relationship is with the Saiyan prince Vegeta. Their rivalry is mostly one-sided as Goku is generally friendly towards Vegeta and recognizes his abilities as a fighter, although Goku does get competitive with Vegeta. While Goku and Vegeta have trouble working together, due to their conflicting personalities and Vegeta's continued desire to best Goku, they both respect and motivate each other to grow stronger, ultimately becoming close and loyal friends outside their competitive nature. Also, Goku is not above teasing him.

As Goku learns about Beerus's power and authority, he develops a sense of respect for him. Goku recognizes Beerus as one of the strongest beings in the universe, and despite their differences, he admires Beerus's strength and composure. Over time, Goku’s relationship with Beerus becomes a friendly rivalry. Goku is eager to improve himself and often seeks opportunities to train with or challenge Beerus, pushing him to grow stronger. Beerus, in turn, finds Goku’s tenacity and enthusiasm amusing.

Super Saiyan God - Super Saiyan God grants Goku a significant increase in power, speed, and efficiency, elevating him far beyond the limits of his previous Super Saiyan forms. His physical movements become smoother and more precise, driven by instinct rather than reaction, allowing him to predict and counter attacks with minimal effort. The transformation greatly reduces stamina consumption and accelerates recovery, enabling prolonged combat without fatigue. His ki takes on a divine nature, imperceptible to those without godly awareness, and grants him abilities such as sensing other deities, nullifying energy-based attacks, enhancing self-healing, and even momentarily paralyzing opponents with concentrated strikes. Overall, the form sharpens every aspect of Goku’s fighting capabilities, blending raw power with divine control.

Abilities: Flight - The ability to fly without the use of ki.

Kamehameha - Goku's signature move since obtaining it. It unleashes a powerful and long-stretching blue energy blast from his cupped hands.

Limitbreaker Kamehameha - First, Goku either lifts his hands joined together in the air or joins his hands to his side. Then, he charges the attack with his hands drawn his side, like a regular Kamehameha. Finally, he fires the attack towards his opponent in the form of an orange-red energy wave.

Can You Follow Me? – First, Goku teleports in front of the opponent and attacks with a strong left punch. He then attacks the opponent with several high-speed punches and kicks. Goku finishes the attack by knocking the enemy away with a left-hook kick, inflicting a huge amount of damage.

God Bind - By channeling the Saiyan God power through the user's hands, the user can use the energy generated to stop an opponent in their tracks.

Gravity Bash – Goku creates an energy sphere, which he holds in his hand, and charges at his opponent to hit them with it.

Energy Landmine – Goku drops small energy spheres from his hands that explode at contact.

Transcendence – Goku moves around the opponent, surrounds his opponent with four energy spheres then blasting them away.

God Kamehameha - A powerful variation of the Kamehameha used by Goku in his Super Saiyan God form.

Large Spirit Bomb – A larger and more powerful version of the Spirit Bomb, in which Goku stores the energy in the form of a giant light blue energy sphere in the sky.

God Shot – Goku points his index and middle fingers in a finger gun pose and fires a short barrage of golden energy blasts at his opponent, before following up with a second, faster barrage of energy.

Dragon Fist – Goku begins the attack by making a straight fist faced at his enemy and charges him. Then once his fist, along with his own body, exits the stomach or chest of the target, the energy will be amplified massively compared to Goku's normal power and his ki will explode out in the form of an enormous golden dragon and then finally collides into the target, possibly destroying the opponent in its path or leaving a gaping hole.

Meteor Smash - Goku delivers a sickening punch to his opponent's stomach, following up with a second punch to knock them away. Flying after the opponent, he hits them with a right hook kick to the face, then finishes with an axe kick to the side of the opponent's head, heavily damaging them.

Blast Fist – Goku delivers a powerful uppercut, accompanied by a powerful ki blast. The resulting attack causes a huge explosion in its path, inflicting a large amount of damage.

Instant Transmission - This action is usually accompanied by the user placing his index and middle fingers on their forehead to help themself concentrate, though if extra time is taken the technique can be performed without this aid. Instant Transmission allows the user and anyone that is in physical contact with them to instantly travel great distances (from meters to light-years, between the living world and Other World, or even travel outside time itself) just by concentrating on a particular individual's ki signature and transmitting or feeling that being's location. The user can rematerialize anywhere within a short range of their target.

Instant Kamehameha - First, Goku charges up for the Kamehameha up to, "Ka... me... ha... me..." Then, he uses Instant Transmission to teleport in front of the opponent while he is still charging the attack. Finally, saying the final syllable "...ha!", Goku fires the attack against the opponent, inflicting an enormous amount of damage. The attack requires enormous concentration on the part of the user, as the Instant Transmission technique must be performed without use of the normal concentration pose (placing the index and the middle fingers on the user's forehead), at the same time as gathering the enormous amount of ki required for the Kamehameha.
