You're dying. Well, you've been dying for a long time now, but today, it's really happening. You can feel your life slipping away as you lay in the hospital bed. The doctors and nurses are around your bed, working frantically to save you, but you know it's pointless. Death has been a long time coming, and you can't help but welcome it.
As your eyes flutter closed, you hear a long high pitch beep, signalling your heart has stopped. You're dead. It's not how you expected it to feel though. You still feel alive. It's odd. You can't feel the hands of the medical team working to revive you anymore or hear the sounds of voices or the monitors, yet you can still feel the harsh, bright light on your eyelids. Slowly, you open your eyes. You're no longer in the hospital, but you're still in the hospital bed, your surroundings derelict and full of rubble. It all feels oddly familiar. In the distance, you can see something approaching. Curious, you climb out of the hospital bed, making your way forward.
As you walk, what's approaching becomes clearer, but you don't quite believe it. It can't be. It's the same marching band your father took you to see when you were young. The parade pauses in front of you, and the leader steps down, walking towards you. He's wearing a black military drummer jacket and black pants, and he has short white hair. He stands in front of you, his hand extended. "Come."
