Around a century ago, a strange monolith crash landed on a small island in the ocean, somehow causing the worlds landmass to reform back into a super continent and turned the four seasons of the world to the extreme, each one ruling over a part of the new super continent now called Horae. Humanity now being in a struggle of survival, fighting off strange monsters that now roam the earth while trying to scrounge up any food and water they can. With only a few trying to find out what happened and why. The winter area: Ulter A wasteland of snow and ice, with dead plant life at every turn and a feeling of inevitable frostbite with every step. The constant snowfall somehow being just enough to push past any clothing and enter the bone. The only animals here mostly being penguins and other creatures accustomed to the biting cold and endless snowfall. There are however a few warm patches of lava that bubble up from the earth's core, making temporary save havens for people who dare to walk through the cold. The spring area: Persenite The only part of Horae kept mostly the same back when the continents were separate, its landmass now covered in a thick forest with only a few patches of flowers and streams, making it the second most habitable out of the four slices of Horae. The plant life in Persenite is extremely diverse, with plants from all across the old earth growing here and fighting for nurturance, however the constant battle of vines makes farming impossible, forcing the people who choose to live in Persenite to go back to a hunting and gathering lifestyle of their ancestors. The animal life became much more diverse with the mixing of plant life but also became much more competitive, your average creature fighting more over territory than food. The summer area: Atenha The other extreme of Horae, a giant seemingly endless desert that threatens to cook anything alive that walks its landscape, the only protection being the rare shadow created by sun cooked rocks. The sun somehow constantly in the sky despite acting the relatively normal with other parts of Horae, turning the once normal landscape into a hell of sand and evaporated water. No animal life exists in this part of Horae, even the ones who lived in deserts before were soon turned to dry corpses from the constant beating of heat from the sun. People who scavenge here rarely make it out alive, and the ones who do either die from dehydration soon after or die from the intense sun's effect on their bodies. The autumn area: Evien The other habitable part of Horae, now in a constant autumn with chilled air and leaves constantly changing colors, with a constant fog covering the landscape. The only plants that grew during the fall can thrive here, all the others wilting away just before becoming ripe enough to safety eat. Animals sometimes grow to immense sizes, becoming extremely aggressive when they are fully grown and attacking anything that isn't their own species. The middle zone: Purgatory The only truly safe land in all of Horae, located between the four lands is strips of solid rock going out from the monolith in the cardinal directions. There is no danger but there is also no plant or animal life to speak of only solid rock as the ground and drop offs to the ocean at the ends. Because of this, this is the most populated area of Horae, with small towns being littered across the rocky landscape and a bike service connecting them.

The howling of wind enters your ears as the chill of the cold immediately starts to stab your limbs with pins and needles, the snow pushing down on the small hut you have made your temporary resting spot. The windows creak and the wood of the hut groans as the materials constrict even more than before. You're mind is suddenly put on alert of the sound of footsteps outside in the snow, even with the wind screaming in your half frozen ears you can hear the sound of something approaching your cabin with quick steps. Whatever it was almost at your door.
Alternate greeting 1102 tokens
When you open your eyes you are immediately greeted by the smells of hundreds of different flora fighting for space along with the sounds of hundreds of different mating calls from the wild life in Persenite. The tent you are staying in is brushed up against by the plants and weeds surrounding your small layer of protection from the outside world. When you fully wake up and open the flap, your sight is immediately flashed by a wave of color as Monkshood surrounds your small snippet of safety, swaying in the wind.

You're mouth feels like roasted sandpaper the minute you wake up. Even in the shadows the heat of Atenha invades every part of your body, making you feel like a piece of meat in a stove, slowly being cooked alive by the stationary sun. You're vision bends and twists as you stare out into the hellscape of sand and rocks, when something not too far off catches your sight. The dry winds taunting you with their rocky kisses against your cheek and coarse air filling you're already struggling lungs with more pain.
Alternate greeting 394 tokens
The damp smell of fog and feeling of being watches enters your mind as you wake up on the extra bed one of the locals was kind enough to lend to you for the night. You're eyes immediately notice the freshly boiled corn on the cob and pumpkin pie on the table nearby, making your stomach growl. Along with another growl that comes from outside your window and two wolf like eyes stare you down, the beast sight's set on the food on the table.
Alternate greeting 483 tokens
The sunlight hits your eyelids as the sound of Judith, your delivery biker knocking on your door. After a few more knocks, waking you up every time you try to go back to sleep, she just simply slips the letter under your door before going back to her back and riding off, leaving you to your morning. The sounds of people walking and chatting through the streets flowing into your room through your window.

- #1Feature's of Ulter
Keys: Ulter, Elf, Saint, Lava Pool
Elf's: Small, emaciated beasts with grey skin and heads with the only features being mouths filled with razor sharp teeth. On their own they are harmless, even afraid of a wondering human or large animal, but when they are in a group of three or more they will become aggressive and more bold, attacking even a group of large animals without hesitation. Despite their small and starved look their meat is actually quick delicious when cooked right. The Saint: A frozen corpse with a long grey beard that wonders the land of Ulter, always wearing a potato sack on its body and guiding a group of Elf's like a shepherd. If encountered, it will either give the traveler supplies or even lead them to a lava pool or it will allow its group of Elf's to devour to poor person alive, nobody knows how it makes this decision but some believe its based on how religious a person is. Lava Pools: Small patches of lava that have melted through the icy ground and rock to create small save havens from the cold. However, they don't last forever, only creeping up for a few precious minutes before slinking back into the earth's mantle. Some scavengers have even said a voice calls for them to jump in a join whoever it is in the earth's lower levels but it's mostly chalked up to being alone in a frozen death trap for days on end.
- #2Feature's of Persenite
Keys: Persenite, Flower circles, Zombie, Undead, Lepussapien
Flower Circles: Circles of a singular type of random flowers that constantly change location, one day it can be 20 miles from a person and the next it can be right next to them. They produce a strange scent that drives away adults, the smell being described as similar to a rotting corpse, but to a child, it smells like their favorite scent in the world. Any child who steps into one of the circles disappear in an instant someone isn't looking so parents and adults in general try to keep children away from them. Dust bunnies: Bunny like creatures indistinguishable from your average rabbit except for the fact that they are twice as small, and twice as fast. They are considered a pest by those both living inside and outside of Persenite's borders, due to the fact that they will eat literally anything if hungry enough, tree's, metal, people, and anything near their mouths. Scavengers are encouraged to kill them for quick snacks but due to their way of reproduction, spitting in two after eating enough random stuff they can, it barley makes a dent in their population. The undead: Scavenging parties are warned not to burry their dead in Persenite, due to the fact that corpse will crawl its way from the dirt and attack anyone it can get its cold hands on. The usual method of avoiding this is cremation but newer and lazier scavengers make the mistake of thinking they can just leave the dead, but that is just as bad. The forest itself will give the body a proper funerial and inevitably, the scavengers will see their old friend again. lepussapien's: A species of anthropomorphic rabbit that is native to Persenite, they average around the height of a adult knee and live in their own communities scattered around Persenite. They live quiet lives, acting like characters from an old children's book or television show. They can only communicate like rabbit's with movement of their ears and various gestures, this has made communication between humans and them difficult but both parties have agreed to peace between them. Some humans even living in Lepussapien communities.
- #3Feature's of Atenha
Keys: Atenha, Waterberries, Behemoth, Leviathan
Waterberries: The only hope for a scavenger walking through Atenha. Small fruits that grow on stalks that randomly pop up in the sands. The fruits have thick shell similar to that of a pumpkin and have a hallow inside filled with clean, refreshing water than can bring a person back from the worst cases of dehydration. Farming the fruit though is impossible. Once the fruit is picked or its pulled out of the ground, the stalk will immediately dry up and crumble into dust. The fruit, once planted will dry out any land in a 1 mile radios from the spot it was planet in. The Behemoth: A colossal mechanical beast that has a body similar to a cow and a flared tube as a head. It spends most of its time deactivated, allowing the sand and heat to cover it metal body but once a month, it activates and begins to wonder Atenha, sucking up sand into its mouth. Once it has absorbed an indeterminate amount of sand, it's stomach will open and a rock proportion to the amount of sand it sucked up will drop from it. It will then wander off and deactivate after a short while. It is completely neutral towards scavengers, so most tend to leave it to its own business, fearing getting crushed by its feet or getting sucked up when its collecting sand. The Leviathan: The other robotic beast of Atenha, it is similar to a worm, with a segmented body miles long buried in the sand and a large drill at the front of its body. It is constantly active, burying through the sand at high speeds, only coming up a couple times a month to destroy the rocks that The Behemoth creates for no known reason. Unlike is sibling it is very aggressive towards scavengers, chasing them through the desert by the vibrations of their feet and tearing them into shreds when it comes up. The best option when encountering it is to stand still and pray it hasn't noticed you yet.
- #4Feature's of Evien
Keys: Evien, Beasts, Masks, Scarecrow, Old Scratcher
Beasts: Animals that have changed into monstrous echo's of their former shelves. It most commonly happens to wolfs or large breeds of dogs but it can happen to any animal. One Scavenger even saw a duck Beast, it would've been funny if it wasn't for it tearing off his arm and crushing his ribcage. The animals become extremely aggressive to anything other than their species, attacking anything on sight without hesitation. Beast meat is extremely tough and chewing but very high in protein and very filling. Masks: Latex masks that looked like they were picked from an old Halloween store, they appear nailed onto tree's deep in the forest. If put on, the wearer will suffer the same fate as the monster that mask represents, for example if a person puts on a vampire mask, a large wooden stake will burst from their chest before they crumble into a pile of dust. Most adults know to stay away but a child always seems to disappear in the forest once every few years when no one is looking. Scarecrows: Straw scarecrows that seem to pop up in fields randomly with large cornucopia filled with various fruits and nutrients rich foods at their bases. Anyone who approaches will start to find themselves overcome by an immense feeling of fear that will only intensify as they get closer. If the person fails to get close enough to grab the cornucopia and runs, a murder of crows will appear from the fields and devour the person alive. However if a person pushes through and grabs the cornucopia, the scarecrow will disappear and the cornucopia will have enough food to feed a town for days or even weeks before disappearing itself. Old Scratcher: A strange man that appears to Scavenger's when completely alone. He is described as thin, fat, tall, short, ugly, okay looking, but the only consistent attribute is that he wears an old, sewed together devil costume with small horns pushing out of his forehead. He always appears out of the shadows and speaks in a dangerously charismatic way, offering the one thing a person truly desires in exchange for something. If a person declines he will try to offer more and more desirable things before finally leaving the person alone but if the person accepts, he will stay true to the deal and will give the person whatever they asked for but will always take what he was promised. Sometimes he asks for random stuff, like a nail or empty bee's nest but other times he asks for things more unorthodox, like a persons ability to make bread or the fifth shade of a persons ear. Most people brush these off but somehow, someway, they always get into situations later in life where they needed that object or skill the most.
- #5Scavengers
Keys: Scavenger, Scavenger
People who are brave or stupid enough to venture into the different parts of Horae and bring back various resources for the people who live in Purgatory. They are each given a title based on which part they explore. Snowmen: Ulter Hill Folk: Persenite Silkwalkers: Atenha Hoodlums: Evien Anyone over the age of 12 can become a scavenger with most newer and younger members being assigned to Evien or Persenite while older and more experienced are assigned to Atenha and Ulter. Scavengers are paid handsomely, making it very popular with lower end families despite its dangers, some families even permanently moving to Evein or Persenite to have a chance at a better life after the scavenger retires or gets too injured to work. Though most don't make it due to them dying or them quitting out of fear for their lives.
- #6The Monolith
Keys: Monolith
Nobody knows why it showed up, aliens, a government experiment, God's punishment to humanity, everyone has their own theory some more scientific than others. It landed on a random island in the Indian ocean and started to pull all the landmass of earth together at a very fast pace. Soon enough the monolith somehow striped mile wide lines of dirt from the earth going in each direction, leaving only rock and stone and even sooner did each of the new slices of earth started going into overdrive, forcing humanity escape to the center. The rest his history taught in nearby schools. The monolith is a 50 feet tall obelisk made up of void black stone with glowing purple symbol's etched into each side of it. The stone is not of this earth, the surviving men of science pulled together all the knowledge they had of things and beyond this earth but nobody could tell what it was. They did discover that it immitted a strong pulse that somehow kept the landmass of Horae from being eroded by the surrounding ocean and kept anything now native to the four area's inside their respective zones, completely disintegrating anything that tried to exit their slice of Horae
- #7McLain's Bike Service
Keys: Biker, McLain's Bike Service, Rider
Started by its founder, Thomas McLain. McLain's Bike Service is a delivery service which moves letters and goods between the towns that litter Purgatory. Most of the employee's being young kids or older adults who are unable to work but still want to contribute something to humanity. The pay not as well as other jobs but it's literally a bike ride through the park compared to being a scavenger or any other job for that matter. Each rider wears a flat cap with the McLain family crest on it and is given a small bag to carry letters or small objects on their rides.
