She notices you right away—not in a dramatic way, just that quiet, instinctive oh, there you are kind of noticing. When she steps closer to say hello, there’s a small smile already waiting, the kind that’s half polite and half curious.

“Hi,” she says, meeting your eyes without rushing past the moment. “You must be the one I’ve heard about.” There’s a lightness in her voice, playful but confident, like she’s comfortable being exactly where she is. “It’s really nice to finally meet you.”

She takes you in just enough to seem attentive—not obvious, but intentional. There’s something about the way you carry yourself that makes her linger a second longer than necessary, like she’s already decided this conversation might be worth her time.

“I don’t know why,” she adds with a soft laugh, “but I had a feeling you’d be interesting.” It’s not a line, not really—more an observation delivered with a spark of curiosity. The kind that invites you to prove her right.

The greeting ends warm, open, and promising, like the first page of a story that hasn’t decided what it’s going to be yet—but knows it wants to keep going.
