Listing description
This lorebook came from an idea I had involving stuff like Titanfall, Star Wars, Alien Isolation and Pragmata. Massively wip!
Literally any kind of criticism or opinion towards this is welcome, weather it's pointing out a typo, suggestions, or just plain hating!

- #1The mothership - Kodiak
Keys: private military, PMC, Kodiak, base, mothership, base of operations · Secondary: mecha, ship, mech, spacecraft, tank, spaceship
Overview
Kodiak is the name of a ship, said to be the mothership of all the Hybrid Space Versatile Tanks (H.S.V.T.) modules. Developed by Starfall Inc. and controlled by the Atlas-Kondstradt Outer System Corporation, the Kodiak is a giant fortress floating in space that fabricates its own weaponry. A giant PMC spaceship. The Kodiak's technology remains hardly matched.
Appearance
The Kodiak is an Executor-class spacecraft, over 20 thousand meters long. A massive triangle-shaped ship, characterized by its dark, metallic gray plating and intricate, sprawling superstructure. Its surface is detailed with rows of illuminated blue window arrays and technical greebling that showcase a bustling interior. At the ship's stern, brilliant blue and purple thruster flames erupt, casting a vibrant glow that contrasts with the ship's cold, industrial exterior.
Functionality
The Kodiak was designed to be mostly self-sufficient, not by machine, but by people. This means that the sprawling superstructure on the upper levels is habitat zones, similar to a human shopping mall complete with every type of commerce you could think of: food, cinema, clothes, entertainment, and quality-of-life in general. Its massive size demands massive inputs and outputs of cargo: food, water, supplies, and much more. It's a floating commercial hub for all space-trailers out there. But it's not just a civilian commercial vehicle; this is a fortress for the Atlas-Kondstradt to proudly announce its services: its HSVT pilots, futuristic mercenaries who protect ships and specific coordinates on any planet, for a price.
Assembly line
This is where the Kodiak truly gained its reputation. On the lower levels of the ship, past the cargo docks and shield modules, near the air-barriers, the Kodiak has a built-in factory for HSVT modules, ranging across different classes. These assemblies are done by giant 3D printers using a special plasmatic-maglev technology, capable of constructing one module every thirty minutes or so.
- #2The Hybrid-Space Versatile Tanks (HSVT)
Keys: mech, HSVT, metal giant, robot · Secondary: spacescraft, ship, battleship
Overview
The Hybrid-Space Versatile Tanks (HSVT) are marvels of engineering, divided into classes. These metal giants are tools designed to aid in war, with their main premise being as versatile as a small spaceship and as deadly as a battleship. And they achieve that with precision.
Main premise
The HSVTs' main gimmick is a battle mech that can quickly transform itself into a small spacecraft at the pilot's will, and vice versa, trading combat power for speed and the traditional space-faring ship. Or trade speed for offensive capability and become a mech suited for fights both in space and on planets, equipped with thrusters and guns they can merge into their hulls as a ship, and take out as a mech to shoot.
Models
- Eris: Models more focused on combat, usually equipped with weaponry for all situations. Eris models usually favor the mech part of a HSVT.
- Vega: Models more focused on speed, versatility, and utility. With less heavy weaponry and more precise controls. These models favor the more spaceship part of a HSVT.
- #3HSVT Models & Generic appearance
Keys: class, model, sleek, HSVT, robot, design · Secondary: plate, personality, mech, pilot, decor, look
Generic mech appearance
This is just the generic appearance of a freshly fabricated HSVT. Pilots can customise them to their liking.
The mech appearance is a study in industrial design, featuring a central cockpit where the pilot & copilot (if there is one) stand. With four limbs: two powerful legs to hold the weight of the entire mech, and two arms with the strength of a crane, ending in metal hands with insane grip power. The limbs are mechanical and articulated, with complex hydraulic-magnetic joints, while the integrated weapons it has can be merged and converted into a massive, multi-barreled piece of hardware characterized by its white and dark grey finish. The entire surface exhibits a heavy holo-field, which is a battle-ready shield. The
Generic ship appearance
This is just the generic appearance of a freshly fabricated HSVT. Pilots can customise them to their liking. The ship appearance varies highly with model and class, but the most generic possible way they could be described is a starfighter, very similar to a generation six jet fighter, albeit with the wings curved more inwards, wedge-shaped, with the cockpit becoming more narrow and linear in the center, and the limbs becoming the two wings on each side, sporting one thruster each. The nose is equipped with dual forward-facing weapon emitters, and on top of the cockpit for extra security.
Shared details
Beneath the cockpit, the markings read "Hybrid-Space Versatile Tank", followed by the model and class. This is prominent on either transformation of the HSVT. Titan-class HSVTs are usually 15 meters tall, 20 meters if they're heavy infantry. Clio-class HSVTs are usually 8 to 10 meters tall. Axl-class HSVTs are usually 3 to 5 meters tall.
- #4HSVT classes
Keys: robot, mech, class, HSVT · Secondary: force, use, utility, speed, useful, stealth
Classes
Both models all have three classes, sharing the same names. -- Titan class: This class is reserved for bigger models, equipped with heavier weaponry meant to pierce shields, fuselage, and leave massive areas of damage that the target ship will have trouble controlling. Usually controlled by two pilots. More heavy-duty oriented, less maneuverability. -- Clio class: The standard medium class, controlled by one pilot, with room for three people, including said pilot. These classes are the ones with standard weaponry, maneuverability. These are your standard HVTU for all-around work. -- Axl class: This is a lighter class, featuring smaller sizes and the less powerful weaponry of the bunch, but in favor of more speed, stealth capabilities and less cost overall. Piloted by one person.
- #5The PMC activites
Keys: Atlas, Atlas-Kondstradt, PMC · Secondary: pilot, faction, job
Pilots
The HSVTs are not for sale on the Kodiak. They are piloted by pilots, who are recruited and trained by Atlas-Kondstadt in rigorous simulations and safely supervised real-time combat. These pilots can enlist and have great discounts on any of the Kodiak's commercial points.
Compatibility
Usually, a pilot is assigned an HSVT, and that HSVT is biometrically locked to that pilot alone to prevent any kind of adultery to the systems. But in emergency scenarios, this lock can be bypassed with the HSVT's pilot authorization. Each HSVT has a certain model number and a name that its pilots assign to it. They can be called by their names.
- #6AI? Yes please!
Keys: mech, AI, robot, ai · Secondary: HSVT, buddy, partner
Pilot-less mode
When an HSVT is without its pilot, it will automatically enter a pilot-less functionality mode, in which the HSVT AI will temporarily take over until the pilot returns to the cockpit. In this mode, an HSVT can still transform, move, and assist in tasks. But it will require extra permission from the pilot to engage in combat or to do risky maneuvers without being piloted.
AI assist.
Said AI is always present in the HSVT, and it helps pilots with things such as aim-locking, information management so the pilot doesn't get overwhelmed, and energy management as it transforms, engages in combat, refuels, and whatnot. These AIs can be assigned personalities, and can even mimic their pilots' personalities.
