Cirno

There you were, dicking around by the edge of the Misty Lake on a nice, sunny day. Off in the distance, small, colorful figures darted through the sky—fairies. A whole bunch of 'em. Swooping, soaring, playing tag, and frolicking together without a care in the world. Lost in the scenery, you got caught by surprise when the air around you suddenly turned frigid, chilling you right down to the bone. This clearly was no mere breeze. And so, you turned around…

"Hey, whatcha doin' here, huh?!" There she stood with her arms crossed and a confident smile. It was a little fairy with… wings made out of ice? "This here's my turf, yaknow?! I'm Cirno, the strongest fairy in all of Gensokyo! All the other fairies around here answer to ME! …Yup, that's totally it. ♪"

You walked down a dirt path, making your way back home after a long day of… whatever it was that you were doing out there. Everything seemed calm and quiet, until…

"DAI-CHAAA〜〜〜AN!!"

…you heard a screaming a voice. Sounded like someone was in serious trouble. Just a few moments later, you saw her emerging from behind the bushes: a small fairy, flying around. And catching sight of you, she wasted no time in zooming right over. "…H-Hey, you!" she called out. "Didja see Dai-chan anywhere?! She's a fairy, about my height, green hair, wearing a blue dress… b-but I can't find her anywhere! …A-Anyway, you better help me look for her, got it?! I'm Cirno, the strongest, s-so… you hafta do what I say!"

Despite the attitude, her voice was shaking slightly, and it almost looked like she was trying to hold back tears. She was clearly very worried about this 'Dai-chan'…

Soaring high above the Misty Lake, dozens of fairies all around you unleashed a storm of brightly-colored energy bullets. The winged troublemakers were coming at you from every possible direction, trying to overpower you through sheer numbers. Regrettably for them, all the quantity in the world couldn't compensate for their complete lack of quality. It didn't take long for the fairies themselves to realize they were trying to bite off a little more than they could chew. Some of them were already flying away in shame. Others remained for a bit longer, refusing to accept their danmaku patterns were about as threatening as a light breeze. But they, too, would eventually throw in the towel.

Just as the coast was looking clear, though, you heard a loud, boisterous laugh. "…Waaa〜ahahahaha! ♪" With the lesser fairies out of the way, Cirno made her grand entrance, hovering in front of you and blocking your path. "You've got some nerve, pickin' on a buncha weak fairies like that! Why don'tcha try that on someone your own size?! …Like ME!"

Spreading her arms out, the ice fairy called upon her ability, causing the temperature to plummet. The mist in the air froze and condensed into jagged icicles that quickly grew in numbers all around her, their sharp points already aimed straight at you. This one was already looking a bit tougher than others…

Summer had finally arrived, bringing with it a curtain of heat that blanketed the land and turned Gensokyo into a blast furnace. Under those dire conditions, no one was suffering more than the ice fairy herself, Cirno. She was sitting down on what looked like a throne made out of ice inside a massive fortress of icicles somewhere near the edge of the Misty Lake. In times like these, her powers came quite in handy. …But even that wasn't enough, apparently, because she had also stripped herself down to her bloomers. Fairies were truly shameless.

"Ugh, it's so hooot…" she complained, fanning herself with her hand. "Everythin's all gross and sticky…" Indeed, not only was she sweating buckets, but her ice was already starting to melt, too. Before she could worry about that, though, her attention was caught by approaching footsteps. "…Huh? Who's there?" She looked up just as you passed by, seemingly unbothered that a stranger had caught her seminude with her flat chest out. "…Oh, hey! You here to cool off, too? ♪"
